Banff HotelsWelcome to Myrus Caravan Site, Aberdeenshire - a quiet, privately owned park in the North East of Scotland.

This is a great place to relax and is also a superb base for exploring the many attractions of the beautiful Moray Firth, Aberdeenshire and Banff and Buchan area and coastline.

There are luxury Thistle Award holiday homes for hire as well as many fully equipped touring and motor caravan pitches which include electric, water, sewage and TV hook-up facilities.

Our caravan site has been totally redeveloped and landscaped over the past 12 months to a very high standard and has been recognised with a 5 star award grading from Scotland's National Tourist Board.

The coast and beaches are easily accessible yet our sheltered location in a mature patch of woodland shelters the site from the cool sea breezes which can develop; indeed, the temperature difference is often a good 3 or 4 degrees warmer despite being only less than a mile inland.

We pride ourselves on our exceptionally clean facilities and well maintained park and hope you enjoy exploring our site.

Myrus Caravan Park has recently been completely renovated with newly laid out pitches to accommodate touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.

Myrus Holiday Park Facilities

Further improvements have included the building of a brand new amenities chalet including reception, a small convenience shop, centrally heated luxury toilets, showers and private washing cubicles, a disabled suite, as well as comprehensive laundry facilities including modern automatic washing machines tumble driers and ironing equipment.

The caravan site is now fully family owned which means we can bring a personal touch and higher quality experience often lacking from larger caravan parks.

A substantial investment has been made in both infrastructure and landscaping over the past few years and will continue.

Future plans include the possible building of log cabins, further landscaping, as well as a continued commitment to visitors requiring static caravans, space for tourers, motor homes and campers.
The entire site has catered for disabled people with access to all facilities including the shop, laundry and toilet facilities.

The Disabled Persons Suite has just been completely re-fitted to a very high standard.

The washing facilities are second to none. They are kept spotlessly clean and provide unrivalled quality.
The Ladies and Gents washrooms are designed to give you as much privacy as possible. This is achieved by installing private cubicles with washhand basins and separate cubicles for showers.

There are hairdryers and shaver points provided. There is a small shop on site that provides basic essentials, fresh bread, rolls etc and newspapers are delivered daily.
A fully stocked convenience store less than a 10 minute walk away. Adjacent to the caravan park with a walk through access is a golf driving range and coffee shop which serves light meals.

In the centre of the site there is a communal barbecue area with picnic tables provided. Charcoal is also available in the on-site shop. Future plans include the possible building of log cabins, development of additional holiday home and touring pitches and further landscaping. We’ll always be available to help you plan your stay and your visits to places of interest.

Banff and Buchan Area:
Discover a string of pleasant resorts and ports, interspersed with fabulous scenery around the north-east of Scotland.
There are also brilliant beaches, wildlife reserves and golf courses.
Banff and Buchan covers the far north-east coast of Scotland, roughly from Buckie on the north-facing coast, to Cruden Bay, north of Aberdeen. Inland, the landscape is dominated by farmland, while the coastline is dramatic in places, with rugged cliffs and extensive sand dunes.

Interesting places to visit, explore and stay are dotted along the coast, from fishing ports such as Peterhead and Fraserburgh to more touristy seaside resorts such as Banff and Portsoy.

Highlights, roughly going around the coast from the south, include: Dracula-inspiring Slain's Castle; seabirds and giant cliff scenery at Bullers o' Buchan, the fish-tastic port of Peterhead, thousands of wintering birds at Loch of Strathbeg RSPB reserve, superb sandy beaches at Rattray and Sandend, the lighthouse museum at Kinnaird Head, chateau-like Fyvie Castle, the characterful resorts of historic Banff, MacDuff, Portsoy, Cullen (with its famous skink) and Buckie, cracking coastal scenery at Portknockie, and great golf courses everywhere.

For the walkers there are miles of coastal trails, sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore or if you travel slightly further afield you can follow the Whisky Trail to the Speyside glens of Fiddich and Livet or follow the Castle Trails and view Grampian's famed historical castles and gardens.

Nearby Attractions - Banff and MacDuff:
Duff House Country House Gallery, Banff, is a treasure house with an extraordinary history and it contains masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland.

Within one mile there are two 18 hole golf courses - Duff House Royal and Royal Tarlair and a 13 bay driving range and coffee shop is situated adjacent to the park.

Other local attractions include a bowling club with outdoor and indoor bowling and licensed bar, an indoor swimming pool, sports facilities and gymnasium.

Sea life cruises, fishing trips or dive trips, wind surfing and other water sports are available along the local coastline, and for the fishing enthusiast there are several loch and river opportunities nearby.

Puffin Cruises offer a variety of trips sailing daily weather permitting from Macduff Harbour, either fishing or taking in the outstanding scenic coast of the Moray Firth with it's abundance of sea life including whales and dolphins and extensive variety of bird life waiting to be seen.

We also have the award winning Macduff Marine Aquarium with daily fish feeding by divers and is also a great attraction for young and old alike.
Macduff Marine Aquarium's central kelp exhibit is unique in Britain. Other displays include splash tank, touch pools and ray pool.
All featuring the marine life of the Moray Firth.
