the grounds of The Cairnton Aberdeen Angus beef farm on Royal Deeside,
and with stunning views across the Dee Valley.

Royal Deeside is a premier outdoor playground for lovers of adventure sports, and boasts several castles and stately homes including Balmoral, a world class whisky distillery, an abundance of scenic walks to suit all levels, many picturesque towns and villages, and is only a short drive from Aberdeen city.

The Stables:
Three bedroom cottage with single study room. Underfloor heating and a
wet room.
Disability Friendly. Sleeps 7
The accommodation:
· Large and spacious living area with wood burning stove with floor
to ceiling windows for views across the valley.
· Dining table with 6 chairs.
· Fully fitted kitchen microwave, dishwasher, washing machine.
· Master bedroom with solid oak flooring with super king size bed
can be separated into two singles.
· Second and third bedroom with super king size beds which can
be separated into two singles.
· Upstairs bathroom.
· A single study room.
· Disability friendly with a downstairs bedroom and a wet room.

Three bedroom cottage with large, spacious living area with wood

The Bothy:
Two bedroom cottage south facing, underfloor heating and views across
Deeside. Sleeps 4/5

a full-fronted, south facing window offering unrivalled views across Deeside.
· Double glass patio doors lead out to a large decking area.
· Fully fitted kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine.
· Master bedroom with wood-burning stove and solid oak flooring,
super king size bed can be separated into two singles, wardrobe with mirror.
· Second bedroom, again with wood-burning stove, mirrored wardrobe
and king size bed which can be separated.

Cairnton Farm Cottages Facilities
Our facilities include a restaurant, a farm shop, corporate conference
suite, huge indoor activities arena, 3 luxury holiday cottages, and a
micro-brewery.
We’re open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm, all year round.
Staying at one of our cottages entitles you to a 10% discount on activities.
The Area:
Royal Deeside is a premier outdoor playground for lovers of adventure

from Aberdeen city.
Macbeth:
Macbeth was probably the most famous king of Scotland and was made so
by William Shakespeare in his play by the same name. Many people are unaware
that Lumphanan just around the corner from the cottages was the place
that Macbeth had his last and final battle. It is also his resting place.
Aboyne:
Aboyne is the nearest town to the cottages. In 2010 it was twinned with
a French town in south west France called Martignas-sur-Jalle. This was
a very important part in the town’s history.
Clans and Tartans:
Few aspects of our history are as colourful – or as bloody –
as the Scottish clan system. Royal Deeside and Aberdeenshire have many
clans for example Farquharson, Strachan, Burnett.
Cairnton Farm:
Ken and Margaret Howie of Cairnton have farming livestock in their blood!
Their prize-winning Aberdeen Angus pedigree herd have gained them a wide
reputation for naturally reared and grass fed cattle. Quality matured
and marbled Aberdeen Angus beef from Cairnton is available to buy at our
farm shop at Deeside Activity Park. Enjoy a flavour that you thought had
gone forever.
Deeside Activity Park:
Based on Royal Deeside in Grampian, Aberdeenshire we offer a range of
alternative activities. Only 45 minutes from the centre of Aberdeen we
offer activities ranging from quad biking round our mud-splattered course
and kart racing on our asphalt racing circuit, to hitting the bullseye
on our fully automatic archery range and breaking a clay at our clay shooting
facility.
In addition, we also offer 4×4 offroad driving, paintball, and rifle
target shooting amongst others.
