Informed by their travels throughout the world, Schoolhouse owners Alan and Cathy Low are committed to meeting the highest standards. They have an ongoing connection with Sri Lanka, clearly visible throughout the house.
Schoolhouse Accommodation
Schoolhouse accommodation is stylish, spacious and scrupulously clean and is wheelchair friendly. Traditional features are combined with the best of modern facilities and bamboo or maple hardwood flooring is used throughout.
All rooms have period cast iron radiators and attractive lighting. A dramatic lounge with unique, giant sofas and blazing fire provides space to relax and reflect by candle or firelight at the end of the day. It's also used for socialising with friends and can be used for small meetings and storytelling.
The dining room with its colourful paintings and excellent stock of local information is a cheerful breakfast room and a very pleasant dining area where groups can enjoy excellent evening meals, freshly prepared in the Schoolhouse kitchen. Guests can make a selection of teas, herbal drinks and coffee at any time.
There's a large, attractive garden where children can play and guests can relax on sunny days or enjoy a BBQ. There's wireless broadband and private car parking.
Each bedroom has its own character - guests love the spaciousness of the rooms. Family and double rooms have enormous, hand crafted superking size beds. The linen is fresh and crisp with Egyptian cotton sheets and soft cotton quilts. Guests often comment that they've had the best night's sleep for a long time in these glorious beds. Children enjoy sleeping in the comfortable hand crafted bunk beds, which are full size and designed to be safe and attractive.
From one room, you can lie in bed and look straight onto the hills - a patchwork of greens and purples in the summer, golden in autumn and snow covered in winter. Set up its own staircase, this lovely room has a lot of privacy. From another room, you look onto the garden and can step out of French doors onto a small, private decked area. Another room is dappled by green tree leaves all around and catches the morning sun. This room can have a ramp for wheelchair users.
Each bedroom has a distinctive ensuite shower room, clean and fresh with marble surfaces. Showering in these rooms is a real pleasure and guests frequently comment on the wonderful Schoolhouse shower experience!

road. After passing church on green, turn right following signs for Caravan
Site. On arrival at Caravan Site, turn right into Anderson Road, Schoolhouse
is in middle of this road.
