Ayr HotelsThe Daviot Guest House is a friendly, comfortable Victorian terraced family home, set in a quiet residential area just a stroll from the beach and town centre.

The house retains much of the original character, and attractive ensuite bedrooms include 2 suitable for families.

There is a comfortable dining room, where a sumptuous cold buffet followed by a full home-cooked Scottish Breakfast is served at a large oak table.

Rooms:
The Daviot Guest House has seven guest rooms available:

One twin/double with private facilities, three double/twin rooms with en suite, a family room with en suite, a ground floor twin ensuite and a twin ensuite annex.

All rooms are tastefully decorated with a tartan theme and feature comfortable beds with crisp, white sheets.
The en suites have fluffy, white towels, good quality toiletries and are so clean, they sparkle!

Each room is equipped with hospitality tray, alarm clock, hairdryer, electronic safe, ironing facilities, LCD Freeview television and there is a selection of books and games that you may borrow during your stay and lots of thoughtful little extras to make your stay more enjoyable.

We can provide free permits for resident parking and we have a locked area for bikes and motorcycles.

Drying Facilities are available within the guest house.

Italian is also spoken so we welcome european visitors at The Daviot Guest House.

Golf in Ayrshire

Over 50 Courses
Ayrshire is world famous for its golf courses and it boasts three Open Championship courses The Ailsa at Turnberry, Prestwick and Royal Troon and it was recently announced that The Open Championship will indeed return to Ayrshire at Turnberry in 2009.
In addition there are a host of quality links courses such as Kilmarnock Barassie, Glasgow Gailes, Western Gailes, The Dundonald, Irvine Bogside, West Kilbride, the Turnberry Kintyre and Prestwick St Nicholas.

In Ayr and Troon you'll find three of the best muncipal courses in the country at Lochgreen, Darley and Belleisle. In addition there are other additional public golf courses run by the local councils the length of the county.

Local Attractions:
Ayrshire, on the south west coast of Scotland has always been a popular short break destination and in recent years it has got easier and easier to get to with the growth of low cost airlines such as Ryanair fast ferries from Ireland and improved rail and road connections including the new M77 motorway linking Glasgow with Ayrshire.

It is now well within a couple of hour's reach of much of Europe making it the perfect short break or golf destination.

The Isle of Arran is connected to Ayrshire via the fifty five minute crossing on Cal Mac ferries from Ardrossan to Brodick or from the Mull of Kintyre from Clonaig.

Driving Directions:

Glasgow Prestwick International Airport:
Prestwick Airport is located around 23 miles from Glasgow and is connected to the city by road and rail. With the recent opening of the new M77 Ayrshire is now less than thirty minutes drive from Glasgow city centre. Prestwick Airport is only a few minutes from Troon and Ayr and well connected to the rest of Ayrshire by an excellent road network.

Glasgow Airport:
Glasgow Airport is situated to the west of the city making Ayrshire easily accessible from the airport. Glasgow Airport has international flights direct from the United States, Canada, Dubai and throughout Europe and the UK with airlines flying inbound including easyJet, flyglobespan, British Airways, Air Canada, Emirates, Aer Lingus, Flybe, British Midland and Air Scotland. The airport is now connected by motorway all the way to Ayrshire on the M77 in less than thirty minutes.

From the Railway station:
· Start out at Ayr Raitway Station
· Turn left onto the A79
· At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A79 (signposted Ring Road North)
· At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A719 (signposted Ring Road West)
· At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A719 (signposted Seafront)
· Turn right onto Wellington Square
· Continue forward onto Bath Place
· Turn right onto Queen's Terrace Queen's Terrace
· Arrive at The Daviot House.
