cottages is a well established self catering company (the owners being
Jim and Jean Stewart, many years of The Old Brewhouse and originators
of Sugar & Spice).
Both companies span 20 years in Arbroath and their cottages have been well received by visitors to our town but, of course, have always been "marketed" by the above businesses. Hence we are now Surfandturf.

The Turf
In the country
The ‘Turf’ is Willow Cottage which is on the outskirts of
the town. Willow has a cosy (oil fired central heating) but spacious feel
with all the luxuries you would expect in a ‘home from home’.
It has a twin bedded room and a double bedroom in the main house our ‘Bothy’
is a luxurious en suit addition where a couple can hide away from the
world.
2 conservatories to choose from and a well fitted kitchen, TV/DVD, old fashioned games and with a wood burning stove to toast your toes at you can really ‘enjoy’ even the worst of weather.
Ample parking, a large garage in an enclosed courtyard guarantee you a private and safe place to enjoy your stay.
The Surf
By the harbour
The ‘Surf’ being The Wee Anchor (a traditional fisherman’s
cottage) situated at ‘Dangerpoint’ being the original harbour
of the town and now a conservation area. A stones throw from the water,
it is Wild in Winter and Serene in Summer.
A well equipped and good sized kitchen (even a bread maker) connects to a lounge furnished with ‘Laura Ashley’ sofas and comfy leather armchairs to relax in whether you have been battling with a fishing line or walking along the cliffs.
On the upper floor is a twin bedded room and a single room. (We do provide an adult ‘Z bed’ and a child bed if required).
The House on Wheels
On the move
The ‘House on Wheels’ we also have a 6 berth Autoroller 600
motor home with lots of storage, a fridge freezer and central heating.
A real high level specification and great for the touring holiday.
All heating, logs for wood burner and linen and towels included in rental.
Gardens are landscaped and fun for kids and dogs to enjoy. Ample parking with large garage in an enclosed courtyard guarantee you a private and safe place to enjoy your stay.
