Only fifteen minutes from St Andrews and one hour from Edinburgh this house is ideal for groups of golfers or large family groups in one of the best locations in the East Neuk O Fife. Apart from the views across the golf course, it is only two hundred yards from beach and coastal walk. A perfect base for all types of holidays, activity, walking, cycling, sightseeing, bird watching, historic visits and of course golfing.
If you are a golfer you will be in paradise playing all the excellent courses nearby and of course the famous Old Course in St Andrews. Step out the back garden gate and enjoy a round of golf on the Anstruther course at a very reasonable rate and play “The Rockies”, the par three fifth hole, voted the toughest in Britain in 2007 by one of the leading golf journals. Nearby there are excellent courses at Elie, Lundin Links and two superb courses at Crail as well as the championship courses at Kingsbarns and St Andrews.
Anstruther is the largest of the towns along the East Neuk and a ten minute walk takes you down to the town centre and harbour, where you will find the shops and some of the many good restaurants and pubs in the area. For eating out two of the best places around are the Rockies Restaurant at the local golf club, run by award winning chef Carl Sullivan and The Anstruther Fish Bar, recently voted Britain’s best fish and chip shop.
