enjoy the unique experience that is Deeside. It's a picture-postcard region
of Scotland, yet it offers far more than just the opportunity to snap
some picturesque scenes for the family album.
Deeside has some of the best preserved and most historic castles in Scotland.
They offer the chance to dip into our nation's rich history, whether it
be the royal residence at Balmoral Castle, or the historic ruins of Dunnottar.
For those who enjoy "a good walk spoiled", Deeside offers a
surprising number of golf courses for a comparatively small region. Not
all of the courses are 18 holes, but each has its own unique style and
design.
Indeed, Braemar Golf Course is the highest golf course
in the UK, and all of the courses are surrounded by some of the most stunning
countryside you will see in Scotland.
Fishing enthusiasts will want to tackle the beautiful rivers Dee and Spey which sweep through Deeside and provide some of the best salmon fishing.
Walking in Deeside can be both a pleasure and a challenge, depending upon what you are looking for! There are some challenging Munros, and a range of "easy" and "hard" walks to choose from.If skiing or snowboarding is your thing, then you will find yourself blessed with three of the five Scottish Ski Centres all within Deeside; Glenshee, the Lecht and Cairngorm. All are among the most popular destinations for skiing enthusiasts across the country.

Our apartments are in prime locations for access to the business and leisure
centres in both Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Our Aberdeen apartments are based
in the prestigious West End of the city on Queen's Road, just a few minutes
from the city centre and ideally placed for the business community in
the city, as well as access to Royal Deeside and all it has to offer.
Our Edinburgh apartments are the ideal hub from which to access the city
centre and Princes Street , be it for business or pleasure. We are also
just a few minutes from the Scottish Parliament, the royal residence at
Holyrood Palace, as well as most of the main attractions in Scotland's
capital city.
Our apartments are also ideally situated for access to The Shore, in Leith,
where you will find a plentiful supply of restaurants, including Michelin
Star dining.
If you have the time, you will almost certainly want to explore Aberdeen
and Edinburgh and our Welcome Guides provide a great starting point, whether

Highland Games
If you are fortunate enough to be around Deeside in the first week of
September, then you must take in the Braemar Gathering and Highland Games.
The games date back almost 1000 years, and the Royal Family have been
in attendance each year since 1848. Events include Pipe Band competitions,
Highland dancing, athletics, and much more.
