Secret Paradise Resort and Turtle Sanctuary, is the only nature reserve and eco tourism beach resort of its kind in Palawan. Situated between Port Bartons Marine Park and Sabangs world famous Puerto Princesa Subterranean Underground River National Park, voted one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World.

We are set in one of the largest unspoilt secluded bays in Palawan, and surrounded on the North, East and South by tropical forest, and to the West open sea where we get Breath taking Sunset. Turtle Bay is our marine sanctuary that we have been protecting for 9 years. Its a safe swimming location with great visibility for snorkelling to see the many turtles, marine life and our 2 house reefs.

Our exclusive 70 hectare Nature Reserve has plenty to offer everyone, from hiking to kayaking to explore our area, snorkelling with the turtles and fish in our bay called Turtle Bay, island hopping in Port Barton's marine sanctuary and large waterfalls.

Relax in our indigenous inspired cottages

Why share your paradise vacation with 100 other guest, when you can share paradise with us with only maximum 16 guest. All our 8 accommodation have air condition, hot water shower, mini bar, safety deposit box, balcony with table, chairs and hammock and private beach loungers. Our 6 cottages are detached beach front and 2 superior rooms, over looking Sunset beach and Turtle bay. All superior cottages and rooms have LED satellite TV and DVD.

Accomodation

In the private 70 Hectare Nature Reserve, we have 2 superior cottages, 4 deluxe cottages, 1 junior suite room and 1 superior room. All cottages are detached, beach front with indigenous inspired design, but with modern comforts. All cottages and rooms have air condition, hot water shower, mini bar, desk, safety deposit box, balcony with table, chairs and hammock and private sun loungers.

Our 2 superior cottages and our superior 2 rooms have additional LED satellite TV with DVD. Turtle beach is for the romantic with only 2 superior cottages, sharing over 150 meters of white sandy beach. 5 minutes walk from the restaurant. Sunset beach with our restaurant, 4 deluxe cottages, a junior suite room and superior room, sharing over 500 meters of white sandy beach. Inclusions, free snorkel, mask and fins, Kayaks, 24 hour free tea and coffee and wifi. All our prices include VAT and Government Tax.

Junior suite room is on the 1st floor, with great views over looking Sunset beach and Turtle Bay. Only 15 meters away from our white sandy beach. 2 large rooms, room 1 with Super king size bed (6 x 6’6).

Room 2 with sofa bed and a double bunk bed. Air condition, 46 LED satellite TV with DVD and cinema surround speakers, mini bar, desk, private bathroom with hot water shower, safety deposit box, small multi gym, private balcony with table and chairs and hammock. This is our largest accommodation at 46 Sqm floor area. Free continental and Filipino breakfast.

Restaurant- our restaurant serves delicious international and Filipino dishes. Freshly caught fish, crab, squid, prawns and lobster when in season, as well as chicken, pork and vegetarian dishes. Our Bar serve cold beers, spirits, wines, soft drinks and cocktails. As a private resort, bringing your own food or drink into the resort is prohibited.

Island Hopping

Tour 1 – Port Barton and Island Hopping (Full day) Morning cruise and snorkelling in the Port Bartons Marine Park. Hop from island to island and enjoy a BBQ lunch cooked over a fire on a deserted island. Then to the Aquarium reef and Manta-Ray reef for snorkelling or just observing the many fish (Includes Lunch).
 

Tour 2 – Water Falls and Island Hopping (Full day) Morning cruise and guided tour by boat, then 20 minutes on foot to Begaho waterfall. It is 17 metres high which falls into a secluded pool where you can have an exhilarating swim. Next enjoy a BBQ lunch cooked over a fire on ‘Exotic Island’, then more snorkelling on one of the many reefs. (Includes lunch).

Tour 3 – Barong Bong and Middle Rock (Half day)

Cruise around beautiful Barong Bong and explore the many beaches, then more snorkelling around Middle Rock (am or pm departure).

Hiking

Hike 1 (Turtle Bay) 1 Hour round trip to the view point which overlooks Turtle Bay.

Hike 2 (Fishing Village) 2 Hour round trip to our local fishing village, enjoy taking some photos of the fishermans daily lives (guest favourite).

Hike 3 (Secret Paradise Waterfalls) and 3 to 4 Hour round trip, hiking from Sunset Beach to our very own waterfalls, then onto Hideaway Beach.

Sabang- we are situated between Port Bartons Marine Park and only one and half hours from Sabangs world famous Puerto Princesa Subterranean Underground River National Park, voted one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World. We offer day tours to Sabang to see the longest undergound river in the world. Booking 7 days in advance is required via our on line booking system.

Directions to Secret Paradise and Turtle Sanctuary

By Plane
Take a flight to Puerto Princesa once you arrive in Manila airport. Manila to Puerto Princesa flights will take less than an hour. Time duration goes the same way if your point of origin is from Cebu. Arriving in Puerto Princesa take a van going to Port Barton that would take 5 hours. The other option is to go out in the airport and take a trike going to San Jose Bus Terminal. In the terminal look for buses, vans, jeepneys heading to El Nido and asked the driver or the barker to be dropped off in a place heading for Port Barton. From San Vicente which is approximately 200 km from San Jose Terminal, the hotel is just a 45 minute drive by van. You can ride a jeepney from the San Jose Terminal of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Jeepney or bus would state Puerto-Port Barton for which will take 5 hours. You can also ride a boat from Sabang, Palawan for one and a half hours.

By Bus
A bus heading for El Nido can dropped you off at the intersection of San Jose where in you have to wait at the intersection an hour or so for a jeepney that would go along the way to Port Barton. The road is quite muddy at times and regular buses would not get through it.

By Minivan
From the airport or from San Jose Terminal take a van going to San Vicente which is going further northwest of Puerto Princesa which would take 4 hours. Arriving at San Vicente take a boat going to Port Barton. The boat should take just less than an hour. Cheaper boats is just available in high season and so during low season you can hire a boat for around P1 500.

By Boat
Port Barton is an perfect stop-over point between Sabang and El Nido. The charter boats from Sabang to Port Barton will take almost 4 hours which would cost around P1 200. The Port Barton boatmen association allows the charter boats from Sabang to drop-off passengers, but deny them their right to take any passengers on to El Nido, or back to Sabang. For this reason, Sabang Charter Boat operators recommend the Coconut Garden Island Resort as being the perfect stop-over between Sabang and El Nido.  All registered boats have a capacity limits and a specific route to operate. A small boat registered for only short Island Hopping tours is not authorized for making long voyages from Sabang to Port Barton and El Nido.
