Tourist Spot

The Philippine Tarsier- is considered as the world's smallest primate. An endangered species, the tarsier is a tree climbing and insect eating primate with large eye.

Python Prony in Albur- the towns short name is Albur. Alburqueque is reputed to have one of the longest and heviest python in captivity.

Hanging Bridge- one of the less attractive tourist destination in Bohol in the Philippines is the Hanging Bridge. It is found in the upper area of Loboc River in Bohol.

Sagbayab Peak- main attraction is Sagbayan Peak, which is an observation platform and children's playground overlooking a scenic valley.

Chocolate Hills- is about 1 and half drive by car from Panglao Island. It is advisable to arrive at the Chocolate Hills.

The Loboc River Cruise- is now one of the major destinations of tourists, local and foreigners alike.
Island Hopping- main attraction is Sagbayan Peak, which is an observation platform and children's playground overlooking a scenic valley.

Blood Compact Site- on March 26, 1565, Spanish Captain General MiguelLopez de Legazpi entered into a blood compact with Rajah Sikatuna.

Baclayon Church- the church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon is considered to be one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.

Directions to Menchus Pension House

If your point of origin is outside the Philippines you can take a flight either from Manila or Cebu before you go for a next flight or boat ride to Bohol. A domestic flight from Manila to Tagbilaran flights will take you 1 hour and 15 minutes. Arriving in Tagbilaran Airport you can ride a van or bus going to the hotel. The taxi transfer to Alona beach(18 km) takes less than 30 minutes. Panglao Island lies just opposite Tagbilaran city. Menchus Pension House is just a 25 minutes via J.A. Clarin Street from Tagbilaran City.

The second option is to take a flight from Manila to Cebu which is 45 minutes. After getting out to Cebu airport ride a taxi going to Pier 4 and take a ferry going to Tagbilaran seaport. Fast craft ferries would take one and a half hours while regular ones is four hours. Arriving at Tagbilaran seaport you can ride a van or bus going to the hotel which is just 25 minutes.
