Accomodation

They offer affordable beachfront accommodation about 10 minutes walking distance from Larena’s centre and 20 minutes drive from Siquijor town. We are located on a very peaceful stretch of beach. Your peace will not be disturbed by the noise of karaoke bars or fighting cock farms.

They have two clean, tiled, newly built, cottages and one duplex, all equipped with a large double bed, fan, en suite bathroom, storage closet, mosquito net and free WiFi. The shade of trees and a gentle breeze from the sea guarantees pleasant temperature without the need for air-conditioning. The sea-facing verandas offer views of Negros and Cebu islands.

Our beach is very gently sloping with fine white sand, perfectly suitable for small children. For families traveling with children we can provide extra bed in each of the cottages. Floras Dive and Resort is owned and managed by our family, the Floras, and it is one of the few fully filipino owned resorts on Siquijor island.

Diving- there are about 20 dive sites around Siquijor island for divers with different experience levels. Our sites are great also for avid macro photographers. Neal Flora is a divemaster with over 30 years experience in diving. He knows the dive-sites around Siquijor like the inside of his pocket. Our dive shop is equipped with Oceanic brand dive equipment. We use an inflatable rubber boat to reach the dive-sites around the island.

Fun dives- they offer fun dives year around. Coffee, tea and water after each dive are included in the price of the dives.

The best dive sites around Siquijor island

Our house reef- suitable also for snorkelling. Here you have a good chance to see turtles, frogfish, mandarin fish, banded sea krait and beautiful soft and hard corals. Sometimes eagle rays visit this site.
Japanese wreck- located near Larena harbour, the wreck sits at a 25 to 30 m depth. Schools of Jackfish, big lion-fishes, nudibranch, group of batfish and soft corals make this site a great dive.

Paliton wall- located in the southern side of the island, near San Juan, this site features a nice cave at 30 m and soft and hard corals.
Kamansi point- a combination of wall and slope dive, where turtles are often seen. It is a great site to see macro creatures.
Candanay wall- two three dives can be done at this site. Max. 30 m, turtles, stingrays, soft corals and macro stuff.
Cedrics wall- located in Sandugan, a combination of wall and slope dive. Nice drift dive with good chance to see frogfish, nudibranches, hard and soft corals.

Restaurant- the small restaurant offers hearty filipino and european dishes, made from the freshest ingredients purchased daily from our local market. You can either choose from our menu or join the family meals. When available, fresh coconut from our own trees are offered to our customers free of charge. On demand we offer you free range native chicken, wild fish and organic rice.

Guided island tours- if you would like to tour the island and learn more about our history and culture or visit sites of natural beauty we can organise guided tours for you.
Babysitting- children are always welcome to our resort. We can organise babysitting while you go diving or you would like to have some time just for yourself.
Motorbike rental- a great way to explore Siquijor island in on motorcycle. Compared to other parts of the Philippines the traffic is very low and the roads in general are in good condition.

Directions to Floras Dive Resort

By Air
You can take Manila to Dumaguete or Manila to Cebu flight. From Manila it would take only 1 hour flight to Dumaguete and from there you can take a fast ferry around 40 minutes going to Siquijor. Manila to Cebu flight is less than an hour.From Cebu City 4 to 5 hours by fast ferry via Dumaguete.Take another ferry ride going to Siquijor.

By Land
Jeepneys are the cheapest way to get around but unfortunately there are no fixed schedule and just a few of them are running during all the day. Jeepneys go as soon as their cabin is completely full and this in Siquijor, can take long time. There're two main routes departing from Siquijor going to Lazi and vice versa, one thru San Juan and the other one thru Enrique Villanueva, always following the national road along the coast . You shouldn't pay more than a local because the jeepney drivers are mostly honest and nice people but keep on eye and watch when a filipino pay to the driver. The multicab and tricycles are the most common and easy way to get around the island. Siquijor is plenty of them, especially tricycles, so you don't have to go to any particular place, just go out to the main road and wait. From Larena pier it is a 5 minute, from Siquijor pier a 20 minutes tricycle ride to the resort.

By Sea
To get the Island there are basically two ways, by sea or by air. Siquijor has 3 seaports and 1 small airport close to Siquijor City. At the moment, the most common and used option is the ferry. There are connections from Cebu,City Cebu island, Dumaguete Negros island or Tagbilaran Bohol islandamong others cities.
