Alona Grove Tourist Inn is owned and managed by Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Velasco. It started to operate last February 12, 2008 with only two small cottages. Because of its very near location to Alona Beach Resort, a very attractive resort for local and foreign tourists for its white sand and various entertainments, the number of cottages increases to ten by the year 2011. At present, it continues its operation with more convenient services and improved facilities for reasonable rates that you can surely afford. Cable television is available in every cottage and service is completed with free wifi zone.

Alona Grove is a great find amidst all the luxurious accomodations here in Alona Beach. They are located a little further inland but it is still a tolerable distance from the beach. The owner said that they used to be by the beach itself but after a fire razed the resort, a ownership struggle ensued with the current owner settling for a more inland location. They used to have a dive shop too but they also stopped that in favor of this. If you do not mind walking a little bit further inland, Alona Grove is a great place to stay.

Directions to Alona Grove

If your point of origin is outside the Philippines you can take a flight either from Manila or Cebu before you go for a next flight or boat ride to Bohol. A domestic flight from Manila to Tagbilaran flights will take you 1 hour and 15 minutes.Arriving in Tagbilaran Airport you can ride a van or bus going to the hotel. Alona Grove is a 20 minutes drive from Tagbilaran Airport.

The second option is to take a flight from Manila to Cebu which is 45 minutes. After getting out to Cebu airport ride a taxi going to Pier 4 and take a ferry going to Tagbilaran seaport. Fast craft ferries would take one and a half hours while regular ones is four hours. Arriving at Tagbilaran seaport you can ride a van or bus going to the hotel which is just 25 minutes.
