Reviews of The Southern Cross Hotel in Manila Philippines

The bar is nice with good pool tables. I stayed in one of the better rooms on the top floor and it was spacious, nice big bathroom, good but old split system air condotioner. The hotel is secure.

The location of the hotel was not to my liking at all, in what I later found out was the Red Light District. I barely slept while I was there and found new accommodation as soon as I could in the morning. I was not brave enough to venture back to Ermita.

The reception area and lift are very small, check-in was quick and friendly. The room was internal, no windows. The room was clean and there was no noise from the bar downstairs. It was an ideal place to spend a few days, a good base to see many of the attractions. The bar was good. Plenty of nightlife and malls in the area too! My stay was good and I would happily go back there again.

Stayed one night recently and was pleasantly surprised. The room I was in was quite large, very comfortable. The staff are very pleasant and very quick check-in and out. Food was very good, reasonably priced.

I really enjoy staying at the Southern Cross, the staff are friendly and helpful, they have an excellent airport pick up service and the food is very good. Although this is a budget hotel, the hotel services and access to local services and activities are excellent.
