Reviews of Manila Manor Hotel in Manila Philippines

The hotel is conveniently located close to Robinson's Mall, Manila Bay and Hyatt Casino. But the rooms lack any desire and the hotel is old. Upon checking-in there were large roaches. Bellboy took off shoe and swatted it. Hotel may be decent for backpacker in transit. Breakfast was either Filipino or American which was good.

When I asked the front desk if I could see the room before I check-in, she said that it's hotel policy not to allow the guest to see the room before paying for it. On the day I arrived, the clerk said that the moderate room was not available and they offered a higher room type instead which cost double what they were advertising. I asked for the GM but they said she was out and could not be located. I was too tired to look elsewhere and paid for the room anyway. I was shocked to discover that the room rate I paid for was too much considering the quality of the rooms. I only stayed for 30 minutes and transferred to the Riviera Mansion, which offered much better service and cleaner, renovated rooms.

The appearance looked to new, but I think the building is about 30 years. The building smelled old and the bathtub was not very comfortable. The room was not clean.
