Reviews of Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao Philippines

The staff were very friendly and hospitable and the room was spacious and clean. The room service was prompt when we called for help with the TV. The air condition worked great and WiFi was pretty good considering how some of my connection in Philippines was slow. The grounds which are right off the waterfront are well maintained and quite large so it would take a while to see the whole thing. Having the hotel right by the ocean kept the place nice and cool with a breeze. The breakfast was scrumptious and it was a continental buffet with a few breakfast dishes. The pool is large and deep, with a hot tub on the side and there is also a bar for those who want to grab some food or drinks. For those who like to lounge next to the pool, there are padded beach chairs that are very comfortable. They've also added some fans for those who get a bit too hot from laying under the sun too long.

I stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, plenty of space to move around. They have beautiful well maintained landscape and the free buffet breakfast was great. Although they have a beach front, not much used for swimming. The pool was always clean, and well maintained. With well secured grounds, nothing comes into the complex without a thorough search. I give it a big thumbs up!

The prices of this hotel are very reasonable of which includes breakfast. The location of the hotel is not bad and the hotel is kind of old and deteriorating, need maintanance soon. The staff are friendly, polite and are always smiling and the breakfast is good with plenty of selections.

The hotel is a charming laid back hotel with good breakfast and lunch. The staff are very service minded and helpful. The rooms are good but, need some renovations. It is perfect for families or couples which are taking few days off.

The theme of the hotel looks very Southeast Asian which I like and the staff are nice and always smiling. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous however I noticed that a number of areas in the hotel property need renovations or improvement because they are already aging. Outside the rooms you can see coconut trees and a view of Samal Island.
