Reviews of Savannah Resort Hotel in Angeles City Philippines

The rooms we received were not worth the rate that the hotel charged. The pictures that are shown on the website are a total misconception. When we booked into our room we found the sink to be blocked, and it was overflowing. The hair dryer that was provided didn't work and even the staff couldn't figure out how to get it working. The restaurant was not provided with an aircon and it was situated right on a busy street. The staff were the only great factor, they were all friendly and accommodating.

I liked the clean bedding of this hotel, the location is also a plus. Other than that I felt this hotel lacking in quality. There are better hotels in the same area and also close to the airport. I try to stay positive and steer away from negative comments, but this could not apply to the Savannah Resort Hotel. I found the hotels rating to be a little to high for the service that they offer a two is only fitting.

Let me start of by explaining the most disturbing factors of the hotel. There are a band of cockroaches in the bathroom, they seem to be quite comfortable here and they aren’t afraid to harass you. When I used the toilet I had to face them each time. The bathroom was filled with the smell of cigarette smoke, which must of come from the other room because I don't smoke. There are no complementaries in the Deluxe Rooms, no shampoo, bottled water. If you want anything you have to pay for it. The carpet and furniture are very worn and old. The hotel could defiantly be better.

The complimentary breakfast I paid for only opted for one instead of two as I originally requested and paid for. If you pay for a double room breakfast you will have to pay for the other persons breakfast. The airport transfer was exactly the same, you have to pay for both trip to and from the airport which I felt was strange. It was supposed to be complimentary. The menu of the restaurant was really nice and the food was edible.

The final thing I must comment on is the staff. They are impolite and they never smile, they are standing around talking instead of helping the guests. The restaurants service to me was also poor it took thirty minutes to get anything to eat.

All in all this is a perfectly expectable hotel. From the WI-FI to the nice hotel pool, and friendly staff it was a nice stay. The one negative I have is the restaurant menu, breakfast is set and there are no options for vegetarians. They were very reluctant to let me make a request for a vegetarian breakfast and that to me was very rude. They mainly offer meat based cuisine, eggs and seafood are another option but no vegetarian. This to me was very inconsiderate to the vegetarian guests. If their menu were better I would of given them a better rate. The other disappointments were the lack of tea and coffee facilities. No fans.

This hotel has gone downhill since the first time I stayed here. The only thing that keeps me coming back are their rooms, the beds are by far the most comfortable. The staff are very friendly once you manage to get them to assist you, and not watch local TV and talk amongst themselves.
The chef has changed in the restaurant and the food has been improved in certain areas and lacks in others. They place their menus on ridiculous planks of wood. That to me is stupid.

The menu doesn’t state the fact that you pay an extra 22 percent on meals. No free transport.

They charge extra for almost everything. The drinks i understand because of some previous guests that used to bring their own drinks to the hotel. I have also notaced that all free breakfasts have to be signed for. I think this was mad e to stop the staff from eating any food that is not being eaten. You pay for a king sized room and only one breakfast is complimentary, its ridiculous.

The rooms looks run down and old, from the towels to everything else. There are no soaps provided, everything comes at a price . Nothing is complimentary. I’m seriously considering changing hotels because this is way to much. If they increased the room rates and began being honest I would be satisfied, instead of all the hidden costs in between.

We stayed here for four nights and had a pleasant stay, it is a very quite and peaceful place. The rooms are very clean and relaxing, the shower was lovely. They served a complimentary breakfast for one. The food was excellent.
