The hotel is situated close to the entertainment
centre of Angeles, two blocks back on a quiet paved street you can
experience almost no noise or traffic. Plenty of street parking
available right at the front of the hotel, and the front door is
equiped with a twenty four hour security guard.
ROOMS
The self-catering rooms are quite large by Philippines standards,
and perfectly clean. I stayed for an extended number of nights,
and the cleaning were always busy making sure that linen was clean
and bathrooms were well scrubbed. The balconey's are a bit tiny
to sit outside comfortably, but with efficient aircon, it is mostly
comfortable inside. WiFi in the rooms is fast and afficaint to access,
no delays for businesses at all. Table and chairs are comfy and
make working or dining in the room a relaxing and pleasurable experience.
The beds are firm (if it is your preference) and the linen is very
fresh, and different range of pillow styles are offered.
STAFF
One word to sum it up is exceptional. I have been to the Philippines
many times for business, relaxation and never have I encountered
staff that are so enthusiastic and so willing to help. There is
no such thing as too much trouble and everything is delivered with
a smile. The staff are the main reason that I will be returning
for another stay .
FOOD
Due to the fact that Philippines has a great local cuisine i found
the Chillibar restaurant on the top floor to be uninspiring .The
menu is very average and the staff are not nearly as friendly as
the staff at the hotel. Breakfast is only available after 9am and
that is certainly not suitable for an early business start. It is
the only let down in an otherwise perfect review for this hotel.
With so many restaurants five minutes away it doesn't realy matter
try youre best to aviod it and go to another restaurant .
FACILITIES
The pool on the top floor is quite small and not suitable for swimming
laps , it is kept clean and is perfect for a refreshing dip just
to cool down . There are no chairs to relax on though. Airport transfers
are available for 400 pesos by arranging with the hotel in advance.
A taxi from the airport costs around 300 pesos but often results
in sitting in ataxi waiting for the driver to find other passengers
to fill the car,and that can take up to 20 minutes and it very agitating
after a long flight. When using the hotel transfer a hotel driver
meets the flight with a name placecard, and you are at the hotel
within 10 minutes .
SUMMARY
If you're looking for value for money, it's hard not to try the
Affinity Hotel. I realy enjoyed my stay there and deffinatly prefer
this over some of the other ,much more expensive hotels .
