We offer high comfort accommodation at low, affordable prices whether you prefer camping on the banks of the river or the comfort of a chalet. We have a fully equipped restaurant and licensed bar with a pool table where guests can relax, enjoy scrumptious meals or simply just have a sun downer on the deck of the restaurant overlooking the magnificent Okavango. A welcoming pool awaits our guests, which is always a winner especially when you visit during our hot Namibian summer. Guests can also make use of our internet station to update their friends and loved ones about their wonderful stay at Rainbow River Lodge. |

The 20 riverside camping spots with a beautiful green lawn, huge trees, braai areas and electricity outlets are served by 4 ablution blocks where guests can take a hot relaxing shower. Put up camp next to your vehicle and breathe the fresh Okavango air whilst the gracious and gentle sound of the mighty river soothes your ears. |
Rainbow River Lodge is very close to the Popa Falls, the surrounding areas offers views of wild animals and 84 bird species. Take a cruise on our boat Poyitunda and enjoy the beauty of the Okavango. |

Comfortable, relaxing hot water and peaceful...Higher up on the riverbank you will find 20 stylish chalets, each with their own en-suite bathroom. Every chalet consists of a single room with either 2 or 3 beds, its own bathroom with a hot water shower and electrical power. For a peaceful and comfortable sleep each bed comes with a mosquito net standard. We realized that our guests may also not always be used to our hot airy nights thus each chalet is fitted with a comforting ceiling fan. All our furniture are hand crafted by local wood crafters. Our guests can enjoy delicious meals from our restaurant which include fresh veggies from our own garden or even order a picnic lunch in advance. Riverside camping...We have 20 riverside camping spots complimented by our luscious green
lawn and braai areas with power outlets. The camping sites have 4 shared
washing rooms with hot water showers. Ample parking is available and you
can put up tent right next to your vehicle. Mosquito repellent is a must
when sleeping outside, please remember to pack some. Braai wood is for
sale at the office for those that would like to have a cosy braai outside;
alternatively our guests are welcome to join us at the restaurant for
some delicious cuisine including home-grown veggies. |
What to do and see...Activities include half and full-day game drives to the amazing Mahango National Park, boat trips to Popa Falls where you can easily spot hippo and crocodiles. An early morning or sun downer boat cruise on our Poyitunda whilst breathing the Okavango is an absolute must. We can take you on an exciting Mokoro or Wato trip on the river, enjoy being 'pole' motored in this traditional hand dug canoe. Of course for the more adventurous guests we readily offer some freshwater tiger and breem fishing, more canoeing or kayaking, guided walks or take a guided village tour to visit the Mbukushu people. Always have your beloved camera or binoculars on standby for around 84 bird species have been recorded in and around our Rainbow River Lodge. However, our beautiful lodge not only offers you birds, you will also spot some game and might even catch a glimpse of 4 of the big 5 during one of your excursions. Many spectacular nature scenes await you; take some of our beauty back on film. |
