The Khorab Lodge: A PLACE TO RELAX!

The Khorab Lodge is a cool oasis on the way to the northern part of Namibia. Here you will experience a relaxed, personalized and familiarized atmosphere after a long journey.

10 spacious thatched bungalows surrounded by our tropical garden invites you for a relaxed stay.

Our generous double rooms are modern with en-suite bathrooms and a private terrace overlooking the beautifully layed out garden.

All are equipped with a ceiling fan and mosquito net. The rooms are without air conditioning, as the thatch roof provides pleasant temperatures, even during the Namibian summer.

A popular meeting point in our garden is the big, crystal clear swimming pool. In the cool shade of trees it is the ideal place to relax and enjoy Africa . A fruit cocktail can be served with pleasure to fulfil the atmosphere.

A cool lounge awaits you in our thatched main building with a comfortable bar for sociable evenings with a variety of drinks to be prepared.

Welcome to the Khorab Lodge Rooms
All of our bungallows host two bedrooms which are en-suite with a double bed in each. Not only will this supply all our visitorswith comfort and privacy it also gives you the exact engredients to get a full nights rest.
All our large beds have mosquito nets and overhead fans to keep you cool and safe after dark.

Camping welcome!
The lodge offers extremely comfortable camping sites with private barbeque area and seats partly under a thatch roof. Each site has a clean shower with running hot water and a private toilet.
The lodge restaurant, bar and swimming pool can be used at any time by all the campers. All this makes your visit as camper individual and enjoyable. We can assist you as well with a braai pack on request.

Dining at Khorab Lodge
In our kitchen the most important aim is good quality and freshness. A big part of the fruit and vegetable we use is harvested daily from our farm.
Our aim is to support the local businesses as much as possible.
We offer game meat on our menu from near by farmers; we obtain local cheese from a cheese farm, marmalades from housewives out of our region and delicate chocolates from Omaruru.

The Khorab-Fitness-Breakfast offers a freshly prepared fruit salad and pressed Orange Juice, homemade plain yoghurt and crunchy cereals.

A choice of assorted sliced cold meats and cheese is part of our daily buffet as well as our homemade bread.

Lunch and Dinner is served daily in our 'a la Carte Restaurant. We prepare and serve African, Mediterranean and vegetarian dishes plus delicious deserts. The menus are complimented with a variety of South African Cape Wines.

You can enjoy a Candlelight Dinner on our open terrace with an African fire in our open fireplace.
Very popular are our barbeque evenings in the pool-lapa (thatched roof area). We can arrange on request, a typical African braai (traditional barbeque) for you and your guests.

Who are we ?
The Khorab Lodge is under German - Namibian management. Here we speak German, English and Afrikaans. Our employees are Damara, Herero, Himba and Ovambo.

We would like to invite you to look into in our daily routine in the management, service and or housekeeping: everywhere you will find our friendly staff members who are willing to assist you.

And of course, all our animals belongs to the Khorab-Family, our lady dog Shila and our big cat family (have babies at the moment) who often great our guests upon arrival. Besides of all this, we also have a small farm to run. We have chicken, freely walking around, responsible to supply the kitchen everyday with fresh eggs.
We also have a family of happy geese and ducks and as well a small herd of Blessbuck on the farm and lodge premises. During the early morning, one can observe the herd of Blessbuck grazing on the lawn in front of your bungalow.
