The lodge has been constructed in an architectonally sophisticated way. All the buildings, restaurants, bungalows (30 beds) reception and information desk are built according to African huts. The material used are natural stones, grass roof all surrounded by a huge garden. The bungalows and restaurants are located next to the waterhole. Our guests can observe the African wildlife directly from the big windows or right from the veranda. Our rooms are comfortably furnished with a bath room (shower/WC) and air-condishion. Our lodge is situated in the middle of Namibia’s green heart around 15 km away from Omaruru. The unique woodlands protect the lodge from the heat of the African sun. Because Omaruru is located in the centre it is very easy to reach famous locations and sight-seeing tours within 2-3 hours of driving or within a range of 150 km.

We advise you to stay for several days. The natural atmosphere of the lodge is very relaxing. The area around the bungalows is interesting and offers a wide number of different excursions. Our bar is excellent and our swimming pool invites you to have a swim. There is also a tower from which you can anjoy a wonderful view over the lodge and the surroundings. It is also a fantastic place from which you can have unforgettable view of the sun rising and dawning. There is a kind of staircase leading to a hill nearby from where you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama.

On the farm house there is an field attached which has been changed to a wild paddock. In the dry season this acre is watered. Especially in the morning hours and in the evening hours you can observe different groups of wild animals.

Features of Omaruru Game Lodge
The restaurant is in the center of the entire park. The bar is very romantic. There is also a bungalow (25-30 people) for meetings. From the veranda you can enjoy the beauty of the nature which sorrounds the park. Delicious barbaques are also served.

About 250 m away from the lodge there are 5 other bungalows with 17 beds including self-catering possibility. There is a swimming pool, an outdoor fire place, a veranda and a kitchen.

Some ideas of what to do at Omaruru Game Lodge
On our game drives you can experience the African wild- and birdlife. The Omaruru game parc is divided into a large and a small reserve. In the smaller reserve you are almost assured to see all antelope species of southern Afrika, as well as giraffes and rhino.
In the large reserve the meeting of the animals, as in other nature reserves, is left to nature. The natural waterholes, normally dried out already in July, are refilled with the help of solar pumps.
Protected huts at the waterholes offer comfortable watching of the magnificent variety of species, especially our elephants.

Where is Omaruru Game Lodge ?
Our lodge is situated in the middle of Namibia’s green heart around 15 km away from Omaruru.
There is a 1250 m long runway with an isolated hangar nearby. We offer flight transfers and individual excursions for our guests on our two engined Piper-Navajo.
