Welcome to Erongo Plateau Camp

Erongo Plateau Camp is situated in the heart of the majestic Erongo mountain range near Omaruru. This is the gate to Damaraland, where you will find the famous desert elephants or the ancient Himba tribe of the Kaokoveld.

The Erongo Plateau Camp is also within a comfortable travelling distance to Swakopmund, Hentiesbay, Twyfelfontein, Etosha or even the capital city Windhoek.

The camping ground is small and secluded, which is the perfect place to relax and de-stress. All the camping sites have been designed in such a way that absolute privacy has been provided. Visitors will be able to sooth their souls and relax their minds knowing that great care has been taken to ensure that their camping experience will be a memorable one.

The camping site offers spotlessly clean showers (hot & cold) and toilets. Wood can be bought at the camp. There are fireplaces, shade netting and every site has its own water tap. We have no power supply, no swimming pool and no shop and therefore your own camping equipment and food is necessary. Eileen guest farm, 5km from the campsite, does not cater for campers. In Omaruru, 35km from the campsite, you can get all your fresh groceries at the Omaruru Spar.

Pets are most welcome at Erongo Plateau Camp. Dogs may not roam around on their own. They have to stay with you or walk on a leash.

Where is Erongo Plateau Camp Situated:
From the C33 coming from Karibib on your way to Omaruru, you will need to turn left onto the D2315. After 10 km on the D2315, you will enter a gate to the “Erongo Mountain Conservancy”. Guards will write down your car’s registration number. (Please note this is not a police roadblock! This gate only controls wildlife. No entry fee payable!) After further 14 km, you will notice the signboard “EILEEN” there you will need to turn left. After 9 km you will find the entrance gate of Farm Eileen on your left, turn left again. From here on please drive slowly for the next 3km, the campsite will be on your right. (GPS S21 31.964 E15 45.701)
