Camp Xaragu

Brandberg - Namibia

Our camp is officially opened from 01.04.2003. Only 2 km away from the main road C39 Khorixas-Torra Bay, hidden in a valley with a river, you can enjoy the peace and incredible and remarkable landscape.

Consisting of 10 spacious campsites with own braai area and enough shade for you and your vehicle and self catering en-suite Chalets, also with own shade parking, rock garden and braai area. The sites are well chosen to give you the utmost space to enjoy and relax and feel the unspoilt wilderness surrounding you. (You do not need to look onto your neighbors plate).

At the mainbuiding you will find a bar, curio shop where we also offer all day necessities like wood, washing powder, lighters, cigarettes etc.. Swimming pool, fish pond and many more.

Some ideas of what to do at Camp Xaragu
· Full day game drive or by hour with our guide and vehicle
· Horse riding per hour pr tours for several days with overnight (at own risk)
· Hiking, if requested also with guide
· We have many animals like suricates, ducks, cats, varans and terrariums (so it is interesting for the whole family)
· Twyfelfontein Rock engravings, Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain 25km away
· Petrified Forest 35km away

Where is Camp Xaragu ?
Driving the C39 from Khorixas towards Torra Bay, you will pass the Petrified Forest on your right hand side. After 75km gravel road in good condition you come to the turn off to Twyfelfontein on your left hand side. On your right hand side you will see George’s Shop. Continue straight for another 100m you will find the turn off to Camp Xaragu on your right hand side. Our camp is not to miss as there are several signs from there on. It is possible to reach the camp with a normal sedan.
