Reviews of Aba Huab in Twyfelfontein Namibia

This is a great camp to stay at from/to Etosha National Park. It is close to a lot of attractions including the rock engravings site and the burnt mountain. There are a lot of facilities including the ablution block and the bar on site. The staff was friendly and helpful, there even helped us pitch our tent in the windy weather.

This was an excellent choice as we just pulled over to rest on our way from Etosha. The receptionist was companionable and our check in was smooth. Dinner was well prepared the campsite was ok and the ablution block was above average in terms of cleanliness. It is close to the Dmaraland Living Museum, rock engravings and the organ pipes.

During our Aug 2014 trip we booked and paid in advance for 3 nights camping at Aba Huab near Twyfelfontein. On arrival there was no water - no showers - no toilets. Total chaos in spite of staff trying to assist with unreliable water carting. The electrical cables to the campsites were exposed wires - broken and poorly repaired in places. A real disaster waiting to happen. It is also no longer a Community Camp as advertised, but privatised to an Owner not caring too much. I will avoid Aba Huab. This was the low-light of our trip, and we left a day early.
