The Hotel Tofo Mar is located in the fishing village of Tofo , some 25kms outside the city of Inhambane , along a beautiful road that goes through a scenic coconut palm plantation with fantastic views.

Tofo Mar Hotel Accommodation

Hotel Tofo Mar is situated in one of the best spots on the beach at Tofo with unobstructed views of the bay.
There is a beach-front restaurant with large outside veranda serving Portuguese and Mozambican dishes and a fully licensed bar.
The air-conditioned rooms are smart, clean and comfortable with en-suite bathroom, some with a bath (and a view of the beach) and others with a shower.
All the rooms are serviced daily.
Choose from twin room (two single beds), double room (one double bed) or suite (double bed and extra single bed).

The recently remodelled hotel has eight double rooms and two executive suites on offer for its clients.
Six of the double rooms come with two single beds with the remainder of the rooms each with a double bed available.
Six of our rooms have sea views.
All rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, mosquito nets and telephone.

Our restaurant operates all day every day, offering regional dishes such as the delicious “matapa” made from cassava leaves, peanut curry, spicy “peri-peri” chicken, grilled Spanish mackerel, crayfish and irresistible prawns.
For conferences or banquet needs, the Tofo Room can be made available.
The Hotel Bar, “Maningue Bar”, open from 6 am to 10pm , affords a magnificent view of Tofo Beach and the entire bay.
In the evening the hotel veranda offers an ideal venue to enjoy live music, traditional dance or theatre with Praia de Tofo as its backdrop.
The hotel also offers its guests a business center equipped with 1 computer, internet access, printer and fax available 24 hours per day.
Laundry service is also available to our guests every day from 7:00 am to 5 pm.

Snorkelling:
The waters off Tofo Beach are home to the largest fish in the oceans – the Whale shark. While some periods of the year are better than others, it is possible to snorkel with Whale sharks throughout the year in Tofo.
The two hour trip offers a fantastic opportunity to get in the water with the largest and most gentle fish in the seas.

In addition, you may also see pods of dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays on the surface, and of course, humpback whales in the migration season between July and October. Snorkel trips are one of Tofo's most popular activities.

Horse Riding:
The Cavaleiros de Tofo can provide you with scenic horseback riding experiences along the coast of Tofo Bay. For beginners or advanced riders Cavaleiros de Tofo has the right horse and the right ride for you. Morning and afternoon rides available. Our receptionist will be happy to book your ride for you.
Kayak rentals:
Kayaks are available for rent on the beach for trips in and around Inhambane Bay . Bookings for Kayak trips can be made through reception.
Surf Board Rental:
If you would like to test out the waves on the beaches around Tofo, we can arrange surfboard rental by the day or by the hour , complete with experienced advice and knowledge of the local surf spots that is unsurpassed!
Excursions and Visits to Inhambane:
The hotel organizes transport for trips to Inhambane City . Shortly, we will be offering guided tours to the city.
The unique character of Tofo lies in its history as a weekend and holiday stopping point for Inhambane City and Maputo residents, and the resident local fishermen who ply their trade in the warm, clear waters off of Tofo.

A small local market some 50m from the hotel offers a variety of basic food stuffs, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages as well as the truly African atmosphere of a small fishing village along the coast of Mozambique that you can only find in authentic locations like Tofo.

Despite its calm and inviting authenticity, the area has a number of restaurants serving a variety of dishes each with a natural emphasis on fresh fish and seafood specialties.
There are also a number of spots for nightlife situated on the beach where you'll find a relaxed and international atmosphere – Dino's Bar and Fatima 's Nest are two of the internationally known night spots on the beach.
