Island Lodge Reservations: iboisland@madbookings.com
Ibo Island Lodge is situated on the Indian Ocean
island of Ibo Island, just north of the small town of Pemba in the
pristine Quirimbas Archipelago, Northern Mozambique.
Ibo Island has been described as one of the most unique and magical
islands in the world and is the perfect place to explore the Quirimbas
Archipelago and National Park in Northern Mozambique.
Once Mozambique’s mighty trading centre, Ibo Island has remained
all but forgotten to the outside world for almost a century. When
visiting Ibo it is not just the natural beauty of the island that
strikes you. It is the beauty of the people.
It’s the mystery of the ancient buildings, old forts, history
and fascinating stories crunching under your feet. It’s the
slow and steady dhows that drift across the horizon, tracking the
tides as they have done for centuries.
