Getting to Caju Afrique
Fuel is available at regular stops. The road is generally very good, tarred surface all the way to within 23km from the lodges. The last short section is dirt road with a few sandy patches. 4x4 bakkie is a benefit however decent sized cars have managed no problem.

Recommendations:
We always recommend an over night stay in Maputo to break the journey however it can be done in one day from Johannesburg or Durban as long as there are no lengthy delays at the boarder.

N.B. We strongly recommend that you arrive at your destination before sunset. Roads at night are unsafe due to no illumination and very few road markers or signs. Local vehicles without illumination and livestock are hazardous after dark.

To avoid fines wear safety belts and stickedly adhere to the speed limit.
