Beach Villa
Azura has just 1 Beach Villa, set in a fantastic location at the end of the property next to the Spa, it is wonderfully private and perfect for honeymooners.
The Beach Villa is the smallest of our villas, but still offers all of the creature comforts. It has beachfront location and views, private plunge pool (2m x 2.5m x 1.2m deep), air-conditioning / fans and king size bed with oversize mosquito net (Can also be configured as a twin).

Other features include a bathroom with double vanity and separate toilet, indoor and outdoor panoramic showers, Mozambican host service, large private undercover deck with deck chairs, sundeck and a beachside sala.

Luxury Beach Villas
Azura has 3 Luxury Beach Villas, furnished in contemporary style and just steps from the beach. It has more than 100m2 under roof, 650m2 private area, beachfront location and views, private plunge pool (2m x 3m x 1.2m deep), air-conditioning and fans.
We offer king size bed with down duvets, Egyptian cotton sheets, oversize mosquito net (some can be configured as a twin), large bathroom with feature shower, dressing area, separate toilet, outdoor his and hers showers.

Other features include Mozambican Butler-host service, mini bar and tea / coffee making facilities, large private undercover deck with daybed and dining facilities, poolside sundeck and a beachside sala.

Infinity Beach Villas
Azura has 10 Infinity Beach Villas, they are furnished in afro-contemporary style and look out over a stunning infinity pool towards the beach and sea beyond. They have the best of our beachfront locations. There is 120m2 under roof and 650m2 private area.
Villas boast beachfront location and views, private 5 metre infinity pool (5m x 2.5m x 1.4m deep), air-conditioning / fans, large private undercover deck with daybed and dining facilities.

We offer king size bed with down duvet, Egyptian cotton linen and oversize mosquito net (some can be configured as a twin), indoor / outdoor his and hers showers, large bathroom with panoramic freeform bath, dressing area and separate toilet.

Villa Amizade
Villa Amizade means friendship villa in our native Portuguese. This 2 bedroom en-suite villa is located at the western end of the property, with fantastic views out to sea and towards the setting sun. It is perfect for families or a couple requiring more of a private residence feel.
It boasts 285m2 under roof, 975m2 private area, master bedroom with King size bed, indoor / outdoor feel with doors opening up on 2 sides of the room to lounging decks, en suite bathroom with freeform bath, indoor and outdoor showers, air-conditioning.

The second en-suite bedroom has either king or twin beds, sitting area (with sleeper couch for max 1 child), feature indoor / outdoor bathroom, look through sea view and air-conditioning.
Our sitting area has a flat screen TV, DVD, Bose Sound Dock and selection of games, opening onto extensive decking, dining and relaxation areas, including a ‘wine bar’, 10 m fully tiled swimming pool.

Other features include a large beachfront garden with daybeds and hammock, wonderful views of the sea and sunset, guest toilet, small kitchenette (for children’s meals), Mozambican Butler-host service and 5 guests are accommodated here including children.

Presidential Villa
The Presidential Villa at Azura has been described as one of the best villas anywhere in the Indian Ocean. It has a very secluded private location, some 150m down the beach from main Azura, and comes with its own Butler-host and private chef. Its the beach house of your dreams.
The epitome of style and luxury, with its own unique décor, there are 3 en-suite bedrooms, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a media room, sitting / dining area with ‘wine bar’, and huge infinity pool spanning the front of the villa.

It is located just footsteps from the beach at the end of our property to ensure maximum privacy, with a fantastic treehouse to catch the afternoon breezes and panoramic views to Bazaruto Island and the Indian Ocean beyond. It measures 425m2 under roof, 1075m2 total private area.
It offers complete privacy with its own secluded beachfront location, huge split level master suite with king size bed, down duvet, Egyptian cotton linen, oversize mosquito net, sitting area, massive bathroom with panoramic freeform bath & shower, separate toilet, dressing area, his & hers indoor and outdoor showers, air-conditioning and fans.

The second beachfront bedroom with the same gorgeous layout as our existing Infinity Beach Villas, the third small en-suite twin bedroom is suitable for children or your staff. All are linked by wooden walkways and screened by natural indigenous vegetation.
The stylish separate sitting room is equipped with a fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD and Bose Sound Dock, sitting / dining area with feature star shaped roof and ‘wine bar’.

Other features include raised treehouse lounging area with fantastic views to Bazaruto Dune and the Indian Ocean beyond, 16m infinity edged swimming pool spanning the front of the villa, private kitchen and personal chef, Mozambican Butler-host service, guest toilet, extensive sundecks, relaxation areas, daybeds and beach salas. Where is Azura at Benguerra?
Azura is located on Benguerra Island within the Bazaruto Marine National Park. Benguerra Island lies 14km north east of Vilanculos, the nearest town and site of the international airport.

There are daily flights on Federal Air and LAM from Johannesburg International airport (OR Tambo) to the newly modernised Vilanculos International Airport (VNX). The flying time from Johannesburg is approximately 2 hours.
These flights are designed to connect well with the major international flights to and from Europe. There are also regular flights from Maputo (MPM) on LAM.

On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays the Federal Air flight collects passengers from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MQP), with an onward flying time of just 1 hour. This facilitates an effortless beach and bush experience.

Transferring to Benguerra Island
Azura operates a state of the art helicopter for the transfers from Vilanculos to Benguerra Island. The flying time is approx 10 minutes, and will connect with your arriving / departing flight. This should be booked at the same time as your accommodation. The flight is operated by Alpine Aviation.
Benguerra Island does have a short grass strip which can accommodate smaller private aircraft. You should check suitability and conditions in advance as the runway lies in a wetland area and conditions are not always suitable for take off and landing.
