Reviews of Hotel Avenida in Maputo Mozambique

The hotel is not a 5 star in my eyes, the passage is damp and dark. The rooms is not what you want, it is a disappointment. There is old carpets in the room and forget it if you think there is ant luxuries. The bathrooms are small and crowded and very dark. There is no wifi and the food is okay. There is an internet cable, but prices are outraging. The experience is unpleasant.

This is mainly for business, and outside areas are limited. There is only the rooftop pool area and the lobby that is always full of business travelers. They only upgraded the restaurant and lobby, so it makes the rooms look a bit terrible. My room looked very bad, there was missing pieces in the wallpaper, and lazy paintwork has been done…. My bathroom yeah… The staff only spoke a bit of English. I had to change my swiping card every day, it seemed to bomb out if brought close to cellphones, how do you not get close to cellphone and the card at the same time, both is very important to keep close to you the whole time. There were a lot of complaints, and the internet was fast but kept going on and off.
