Reviews of Hotel Tivoli in Beira Mozambique

The hotel has been revamped between my visits to Beira and the latest revamp is real good. The hotel is within walking distance from all the Important amenities and it’s safe to walk around just do not display valuables at night. The Mozambiquens are friendly people. There are numerous eating places with the best seafood dishes within a 10 km radius from the hotel .The better ones are on the beachfront.

The hotel is located in a neglected part of town. I booked a room on their website and from the minute we arrived there were problems. Do not expect to find anyone who can speak english in this hotel. The bar is poorly stocked. Staff poorly trained. The rooms are smaller than a chicken coup and in need of attention. The only acceptable part of this experience is that the hotel is reasonably clean. It is outrageously expensive for that you get.

The hotel hobby is very impressive, although the rooms are quite small. The bathroom is so small that you need to exit just to change.
The staff is nice & friendly, but a couple of them seem to await any opportunity to relieve you of your money.The food in the restaurant is quite no, as is the service there.
Rooms have a safe, but I preferred carrying my passport & other Important Docs. There is free internet in the lobby, but none in the rooms. Just across the street from the hotel is a quaint restaurant with fantastic, in-expensive food. Overall, not too bad a place to stay.

We stayed there for one night before going to Gorongosa Ntl Park.This is the meeting point for the park's shuttle we figured we might as well stayed there, rooms are small but clean, service is good, the food was ok and our breakfast and dinner were included but we could have found a cheaper place across the street for one night but if u have budget Tivoli is a safe place to stay
