To the east, you'll find the inviting white sands and gentle waters of Keoniloa Bay.

Revitalize with a jump in the swimming pool and sun dry in a lounge chair on the deck. Then as the sun goes down, make good use of the barbeque area with fresh island flavours and someone you love.

For some more adventurous Kauai activities, take a cruise boat or kayak up the sacred Wailua River to Fern Grotto. It's a site to behold, along with the grasslands with Mount Waialeale looming in the background. Further exploration by car could take you to Waimea Canyon and Hanalei Bay.

Directions to Castle Makahuena at Poipu

Directions from the Airport (15 miles – 30 minutes).
As soon as you exit the Lihue Airport, continue straight ahead from the first intersection on Ahukini Road.
Turn left at Kuhio Highway / Highway 56. Stay on the right lane on Kuhio Highway / Highway 56; this will veer into Kaumualii Highway West / Highway 50.
Turn left at Maluhia Road / Highway 520. Follow Maluhia Road / Highway 520 for two miles.
The first intersection you see on the left side is Ala Kinoiki Highway. Turn left. Follow Ala Kinoiki Highway until you reach the Poipu Road intersection. Drive across Poipu Road which turns into Pe'e Road.
Continue driving until you reach the Makahuena at Poipu, which is located on the left side of the road just past the Point at Poipu resort. Our street address is 1661 Pe`e Road.
