The first-floor balcony is perfect for summer sunsets, our woodburner and snug leather sofas the ideal ringside seat for thrilling midwinter bouts between loaded skies and brimming seas.
It's not complicated; it all comes down to comfort, quality and distinctiveness. So your bed-linen is soft, your shower powerful, the art on your wall is original, and the design - throws, lighting, touches - all well-judged one-offs.
We are a unique hotel with beautifully-designed, immaculately-finished rooms’ right on the quayside, not so much a stone's throw as an easy, underarm lob from the water's edge.
There's so much, and so little, to do in St Mawes, and no better place than the St Mawes Hotel & Moules Bar to blend activity and idleness, to satisfy your craving to explore and your instinct for hunkering down.

The St Mawes Hotel Accommodation
We have 14 bedrooms, all beautifully, individually designed and equipped. They're all en suite with tea- and coffee-making facilities, flat-screen TVs, hair dryers and Wi-Fi.
More importantly, however, they amount to more than their amenities, detail is important and all for your comfort: good-quality pillows (and enough for all guests, without you having to ask), beautifully soft duvets, excellent mattresses and carefully, individually chosen colours, cushions and throws.

Harbour Rooms: There are three of these rooms, all of them, as the name suggests, with fantastic views of the water. You might be surprised how the appeal of the TV pales by comparison with the always-changing spectacle to be seen through your window.

Cottage Rooms: Four beautiful, beamed rooms packed with period features and authentically cottagey appeal, offering cosy, welcoming (but chintz-free) comfort.

The Nest:
We have two nests. We've styled them to be modern and convenient, as well as stylish and beautifully appointed, of course. Our Nest rooms can be configured as twins or doubles and are positioned in the heart of the hotel.

The J Class Room:
There are two J Class Rooms – Velsheda and Ranger – both have fantastic sea views. These two rooms are the elite of the hotel being large and sumptuous with great sea views across the Carrick Roads Estuary. Valsheda can accommodate two extra small passengers in the eves via the companionway at an extra cost.

The Sunbeam Room:
here are two Sunbeam Rooms - generous and beautiful with village garden views – V8 and V18. These two rooms are comfortable and quiet with relaxing warmth. V18 can accommodate a small passenger on a spare wooden put-up bed at an extra cost.
