Visitors to the spectacular Flanesford Priory, nestling beneath the famous Goodrich Castle, can be sure of a genuine welcome to a unique historical building set in a beautiful, tranquil location in the Heart of the Wye Valley.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the region is also steeped in history both locally and further afield, with the Cathedral Cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester, all within an hour’s drive.

Flanesford Priory Accommodation
The Kerne Apartment:
This apartment, together with The Coppett and The Charlton, offers entrances on the ground floor of Flanesford Priory and as they are all adjacent to each other, can be rented individually or together by families and friends.
With high beamed ceilings and large windows, The Kerne Apartment mixes a light and airy feeling with olde world charm to create the perfect couples’ retreat. There are also extensive views towards the River Wye, Wye Valley and Coppett Hill.

The Courtyard Apartment: This compact studio style apartment is perfect for couples or single occupancy. Although this apartment is somewhat smaller than the other apartments it does not lack charm, with original beamed ceilings and stone walls offering a very traditional setting.
Particularly popular with fishermen, The Courtyard offers style and comfort at a fantastic rate – perfect for a last minute fishing trip if the weather is good!
The Courtyard Apartment has its own private entrance approached via three stone steps, in the East Wing of the building.

The Charlton Apartment: This apartment, together with The Coppett and The Kerne, offers entrances on the ground floor of Flanesford Priory and as they are all adjacent to each other can be rented individually or together by families and friends.
The large comfortable corner sofa, glowing fire and flat screen TV provide the perfect recipe for a quiet night in amongst the tranquil setting.
This apartment offers extensive views towards the River Wye, Wye Valley and Coppett Hill.

The Priory Apartment: Situated on the Ground Floor of the main building at Flanesford Priory, The Priory Apartment shares a small entrance with The Castle Apartment.
It’s wealth of original stone walls and oak beams give a great sense of history and the distant view of Goodrich Castle across Herefordshire countryside make The Priory Apartment a perfect example of our unique accommodation.

The Castle Apartment: Situated next to The Priory Apartment and therefore ideal if two families wish to be close together but still retain their privacy.
This apartment is full of traditional features with large areas of original stone walls complete with beautiful carved stone recesses.
The large fireplace and comfortable living area will ensure you enjoy cosy evenings. There are delightful views of the surrounding countryside and in particular the majestic Goodrich Castle.

The Coppett Apartment: This apartment, together with The Charlton and The Kerne, offers entrances on the ground floor of Flanesford Priory and as they are all adjacent to each other can be rented individually or together by families/friends.
Perfect for a family of four, this apartment offers a feeling of relaxed luxury with living area complete with original stone feature walls, large comfortable corner sofa and warming log fire.
There are extensive views of the surrounding countryside including the meandering River Wye, Wye Valley and Coppett Hill.

The Walford Apartment: The Walford Apartment is found on the first floor and extends up to the second floor of the East Wing and accessed via a flight of external stone steps.
It has a wealth of original features including vaulted ceilings and rustic beams in the bedrooms that accentuate the history and character of the building.
The cosy living room with large sofas and log fire has hosted many a happy winters night. The Walford Apartment can be adjoined to The Talbot Apartment next door via an internal corridor making it great for large groups.

The Talbot Apartment: A large deluxe apartment spread over three floors in the East Wing, access being via three stone steps.
The Talbot Apartment boasts a large fully equipped kitchen and luxury leather sofas, creating a fantastic base for large groups such as Stag and Hen parties.
The Talbot Apartment can be adjoined with The Walford Apartment next door via an internal corridor, making a convenient venue for larger groups.
An original internal narrow stone stairway leads to the upper floors which are unsuitable for those with mobility difficulties.

The Wye Apartment: Wonderful high ceilings set off the original stone walls and oak beams of this historical building.
The stunning dining hall can seat up to 12 and the large living room with plenty of seating lays host to the perfect venue for parties.
The Wye Apartment has hosted many a Hen – celebrating her last days of freedom! There are outstanding views towards the River Wye, Wye Valley, Goodrich Castle and Coppett Hill – all offering fantastic walks and photographic opportunities. The apartment is ideal for larger groups or multiple families.

The Cider Mill: A large luxury 5 star apartment set aside from the main building for exclusivity. The Cider Mill has two deluxe master bedrooms with impressive en suites housing both baths and showers, and a twin room with a sleek wet room.
The twin room and downstairs area are disabled friendly, with mobility issues being catered for in an unobtrusive manner.
With all modern conveniences the kitchen will centre around the original Cider Mill Wheel, used for generations to crush the apples.
Artfully integrated into the kitchen and dining table, this feature is a unique display of the history of the building. The living area is plush and cosy, with a log fire and under floor heating.
Beds can be either twin or doubles, please specify if needing anything other than twin room downstairs and two doubles upstairs. The Cider Mill has been given a M1 Mobility rating.
We can provide a shower chair, toilet frame and moveable suction handles for guests with mobility issues. The mill has a private patio with garden furniture and BBQ with stunning views of the River Wye and Coppett Hill.
