Diving & Snorkelling Safely
in Mozambique
Dive safety
Mozambique is a big country and diving is often done in isolated
areas, so keeping safe is crucial, we only use registered quality
centres that we have personally dived with to ensure standards of
equipment, boats, staff and support are in place.
We recommend dive insurance is taken out on all dive trips and
offer the DAN SA trip insurance to all our customers – see
details.
Dive Certification
All dive centres in Mozambique will require to see your dive card
and preferably your log book (to see level of certification and
when you last dived) if you have not dived in the last 6 months
they will ask you to undergo a scuba review – do not be offended
it is simply to make sure everyone on the dive is safe.
Before completing the Scuba Review, divers will be required to
fill out a medical questionnaire. If any condition on the questionnaire
applies to you, you will need to bring a physician's letter stating
that you are "FIT TO DIVE WITHOUT RESTRICTION".
