Welcome to the Heinzelmann Summer Chalets!

When we came to Prince Edward Island for the first time in 1985, the island fascinated and charmed us with its friendly people , its idyllic landscapes and its diversity of different seafood. Since then we´ve spent every summer on P.E.I..

We want our guests to experience the island the way we savour it every year. Our chalets are constructed for a comfortable stay in any season of the year.

Prince Edward Island - the island
“Peace! You never know what peace is until you walk on the shores or in the fields or along the winding red roads of Abegweit (the Mi’kmaq name for PEI) on a summer twilight when the dew is falling and the old, old stars are peeping out and the sea keeps its nightly tryst with the little land it loves.”

P.E.I. is Canada’s smallest island province. The island lies in the Gulf of St. Lawrence between Newfoundland in the northeast, Nova Scotia in the south and New Brunswick in the west.

Due to its mild climate and the ample beaches, P.E.I. is the most attractive province of Canada for fun in the sun. Nowhere else will you find a more inviting and manifold atmosphere comprising of rolling potato fields, idyllic harbors and the charming and lively province capital, Charlottetown.

The hospitality industry on PEI is growing and numerous excellent restaurants invite you to try their specialties. The Culinary Institute, the eastern Canadian school for chefs and restaurant personnel is located in Charlottetown as well. It offers innovative menus and is open to the public. Another commendable, unique eating establishment is the “Inn at St.Peter´s”. It is only a five minute car drive away from us.
