White Sands Cottages and Campground Resort,is located on the Cape Road off Route 6, half-way between Cavendish and North Rustico, a three minute drive from either point. White Sands grounds are spacious and ideal for children who are entertained by the swings, tilts, and sandbox provided. Visitors young and "young at heart" enjoy a dip in the heated 20's x 40's fenced swimming pool. Each cottage is equipped with a comfortable deck, propane barbeque, and its own picnic table. There is a small convenience store on the property as well as a Laundromat for your convenience. We also offer wireless internet service in the lobby and in designated area free of charge.

White Sands Campground Amenities

We offer 27 unserviced campsites and 23 serviced campsites. Campsites include, firepits and public washrooms, laundry and showers. We also have a heated pool and a small convenience store.

Pricing differs for serviced and unserviced campsites, rate based on four people, surcharges apply for each additional person per night, maxium occupancy six people. Services include electricity and water.

We also have tent and bicycle rentals. We also have free internet service available in the office area. In addition we now have an internet kiosk where you can go online and surf the net or check your email.

Pets
Leashed pets are permitted. Pets must not be left unattended at any time. There is a charge per night per dog, small dogs only.

Local Attractions
You will be located away from the busier traffic areas. Our guests appreciate this, together with the knowledge that they are close to all activities in the area. It is a five minute drive to a satisfying range of diversions such as horseback riding, tennis, golfing, Green Gables Home, and the new Shining Waters Family Fun Park in Cavendish.

Deep sea fishing can be arranged at North Rustico. Grocery shopping, churches, and restaurants are a few minutes away. Lobster suppers in the area provide a meal you will long remember with delight.

White Sands Campground Directions
From the Confederation Bridge follow Highway 1Atowards Summerside, shortly after Bedeque, turn right onto Route 8, towards Freetown. Continue on Route 8 until it jogs left at Highway 2, continue at Route 8 to New London, at intersection of Route 8 and Route 6 turn right towards Cavendish. Follow Route 6 through to Cavendish, approximately 5 minutes past Cavendish, until you reach Cape Road, turn left (watch for our sign, on opposite side of the road) follow Cape Road 800 metres to White Sands.
