Bosom Buddies Cottages & Suites is situated approximately 1 kilometre from the main road so there is no need to worry about children playing outside. There's lots of room for children to run freely and play. All of our cottages and suites overlook our spacious play area which includes toys, a sandbox, swings and slide. The children will have lots to do while you relax on your patio deck.

And for those hot days when you need to cool off, we offer a heated swimming pool for guests to relax and enjoy. Plus we're a short 10 minute walk to Cavendish Beach.

Anne of Green Gables House – PEI National Park– Just a short drive or 15 minute walk from Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottages.

Located in the cultural landscape of Lucy Maud Montgomery's Cavendish National Historic Site, Green Gables is the original site that inspired the famous author to write the novel Anne of Green Gables. Acquired in 1937, Parks Canada's mandate ensures that this magical place be commemorated and maintained.

L.M. Montgomery's great imagination flourished here during childhood visits to her relatives' homestead. The original house, trails, farmyard, award-winning films, displays, gift shop, tea room and animated bilingual interpretive events all add to the enjoyment of this inspirational site. The Anne of Green Gables Museum – A short 15 minute drive from Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottages
The Anne of Green Gables Museum at Silver Bush has a treasure around every corner. On this 110 acre property you will find a museum, an antique shop, a craft shop with the finest of Anne of Green Gables products available, a view of the Lake of Shining Waters, Matthew’s Carriage Rides, a playground for the Kids and some of the most beautiful scenery found on Prince Edward Island.

Step back to L. M. Montgomery’s time to the places and treasures that help inspire her to write about Anne, Emily, Pat, and other heroines. A unique collection of the author’s belongings are displayed such as furniture, photographs, linens and other personal items. See your own reflection in the enchanted bookcase one of the more significant items described in the Anne of Green Gables series. This property is still in the Campbell Family after 225 years. Avonlea – 2 minute drive from Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottages
Avonlea is a "must see" attraction. The variety of experiences offered by Avonlea and its authentic period "look and feel" provide an anchor-in a sense, Avonlea is the Cavendish that visitors are looking for when they travel to the area looking for a small rural village where Anne lived. Turn-of-the-century children's games, horse and wagon rides, family picnics and frequent special events contribute to the visitor experience.

Staff, in period dress, are open, honest and evocative. Anne and Diana, in character mingle with all the guests adding to the excitement of a visit to Avonlea. Avonlea showcases the work of island musicians, artists and craftspeople. Visitors to Avonlea will be involved in a magical, delightful, and entertaining collection of people, products and experiences-a collection which does justice to Prince Edward Island as seen through L.M. PEI National Park
PEI National Park – 5 Minute Drive to Cavendish Main Beach from Cavendish Bosom Buddies Cottages. PEI National Park Pass is included in your stay. Or walk to a private beach following the path (approximate 20 minute walk).

Prince Edward Island National Park is home to sand dunes, barrier islands and sand pits, fresh water ponds, salt marshes, and forests, beaches, sandstone cliffs, wetlands and forests, which was set aside in 1937 to protect for all time the coastal landscape characteristic of the Maritime Plain natural region. The National Park also features unique cultural resources, notably Green Gables and Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site.

In 1998, six kilometres of the Greenwich Peninsula were added to the Park to protect unique dune formations, rare plants and animals, as well as archaeological findings dating back 10,000 years.

Shining Waters Family Fun Park – 5 minute drive from Cavendish Bosom Buddies

Begin your adventure at the Lighthouse on the Wharf, a tribute to PEI’s Seafaring History. Start your quest as you cross the ponds and enter into an enchanted land of excitement and adventure. Take an excursion through Adventure Woods: who knows what you may discover? Let your imagination take flight at the Out of This World Children’s Disco in the UFO. If you dare, enter into the frightening unknown at the Haunted House.

Search the Mirror Maze for someone other than yourself. Escape into the Storybook Forest, and explore the Witches' Cave. Cool off as you voyage into Shining Springs, PEI’s premiere Waterslide Complex. Join the kids and splash your way through Turtle Cove. Journey over into Chester’s Farmyard and experience the Cackle Revue, hayride and many small farm animals.

Travel to Buccaneer Bay and attempt a mutiny on the always rockin’ Renegade Pirate Ship. Experience the swashbuckling life of a pirate on a real Spanish galleon of your own. Be amused with the live entertainment in our outdoor theatre. Food and gifts are available throughout your journey. Brackley Beach Drive In – 20 minute drive from Cavendish Bosom Buddies
When was the last time you went to a drive in? Probably can’t remember. Take the kids, some pillows and a sleeping bag and enjoy this classic. Show starts at 9:05 pm . Schedule offers tons of family films featuring new movies that change every week.

The Brackley Drive-in generally opens for the season in mid-May and closes for the season in mid-September. They may, however, stay open one or two more weeks into the fall, depending on what movies are available. Burlington Amusement Park – 15 minute drive from Cavendish Bosom Buddies
Burlington Amusement park is Atlantic Canada's Premier Go-Kart Facility, featuring THREE tracks, and go-karts for all ages. We also offer many more attractions for the whole family. Our feature attractions are Thunderbolt Go-Karts racing on the longest track in Atlantic Canada, NASKARTS, racing on a fast oval, and PEI's only kiddie karts.
