The best of both worlds! Two wonderful locations to serve guests. Our Summer Homes are nestled on 4.5 acres of private property, tucked away on a quiet country road and only minutes to all of Cavendish Resort Area's distractions. Abby Lane Motel is situated in the very heart of Cavendish on the Cavendish walkway, within a short stroll to most attractions, shopping and several restaurants. Regardless of your choice of a cottage or a motel unit, you will be able to enjoy all that Cavendish has to offer including the PEI National Park with its white sand beaches, Green Gables National Historic Site, and numerous top notch golf courses including the newly renovated Green Gables Golf Course and Eagles Glenn Golf Course.

From December 16th until January 7th, 2012, we will have only limited access to email and voice mail messages. We will return calls/emails when we are able to and will be taking reservations starting January 7th, 2012. Currently the motel is completely booked for the concert week-end and the summer homes have a 7 night minimum stay in July and August. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Summer Homes
Our One, Two and Three bedroom summer homes are bright, spacious, feature cathedral ceilings, comfortable furnishings and fully equipped kitchens. Furnished sundecks add additional outdoor living space for your relaxation and enjoyment. One of our very comfortable cottages awaits you! Our Summer Homes property features outdoor recreation including firepits, playground areas and heated outdoor pool. A PEI National Park pass in included with all cottage rentals.

Our One Bedroom Summer Home
Our One Bedroom suite is ideal for honeymooners, a couple, a small family, or just friends. It sleeps up to 4 persons, has a queen bed in the large master bedroom and direct access from the bedroom to the bathroom via sliding doors. The bathroom has a whirlpool, a separate shower, skylight and other common bathroom amenities. A sofa bed in the living area provides additional sleeping space.

Two Bedroom Summer House
Our Two Bedroom units accommodate up to 6 persons comfortably and feature a queen bed in the master bedroom as well as two doubles in the second bedroom. These units are equipped with 4 piece baths and fully equipped kitchens with fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave.

Three Bedroom Summer Home
The Three Bedroom Summer Home accommodates 6 persons comfortably. It has a queen bed in the master bedroom, a double in the second bedroom and two singles in the third bedroom. This unit also has a fully equipped kitchen and 4 piece bathroom.

Motel
Motel property is located in the heart of Cavendish, within walking distance to attractions, dining and shopping. Visit our well equipped, relaxed 5 unit motel property at 9027 Cavendish Rd (check-in at 397 Simpson Mill Rd) Adjoined by a lovely covered verandah, chose a unit with either one queen or two double beds. These large, comfortable motel units have laminate floors and pine walls.

A great spot to relax after or between exploring the resort's highlights.! All non-smoking units feature wireless high speed, mini-fridges, coffee makers, satellite TV, telephones and common propane BBQ's for guest use. Daily housekeeping service provided. There is no pool at this location.

Two Double Bed Motel Unit
A quiet 5 unit motel property within the heart of Cavendish and within walking distance to many attractions, shopping and dining areas. Adjoined by a covered verandah, these spacious motel units offer 2 double beds, full bath/shower, table with chairs. Amenities include mini-fridge, coffee maker with supplies, colour satellite TV with remote, telephone, complimentary wireless high speed internet, furnished verandah and common propane barbeques for guest use. Crib or cot available but must be reserved at time of booking to guarantee.

Queen Motel Unit
Lovely spacious motel unit with 1 queen bed plus a sofa bed, full bath/shower, table with chairs. Amenities include mini-fridge, coffee maker with supplies, colour satellite TV with remote, telephone, complimentary wireless high speed internet, furnished verandah and common propane barbeques for guest use. Crib or cot available but must be reserved at time of booking to guarantee.

Amenities in All Rooms
Cottages: Fully equipped kitchen including full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, electric coffee maker, all pans, pots, dished, cutlery and necessary kitchen items to prepare and serve meals. A propane barbeque is supplied on each furnished deck. All bathrooms feature bath and shower (one bedroom has a jacuzzi with separate shower).

Clock radios in master bedrooms, colour satellite television, iron and ironing boards, lobster pot, complimentary wireless high-speed internet. All towels, linens and supplies other than personal items and items for off-site use, are provided for your stay. A complimentary PEI National Park Pass in included for your stay at the cottages.

Motel units: Feature either one queen bed with sofabed or 2 double beds. Mini-fridge, coffee makerwith supplies, colour satellite televisions, complementary wireless high-speed internet access, telephones, full bathroom with tub/shower, verandah.

Cottage guests enjoy relaxing on their private furnished decks, around firepits, on our playground or cooling off in our heated swimming pool. Parking and Laundry Services available. Motel: Check in 2:00pm or later, Check out prior to 10am.

Units are often ready prior to actual specified check in time.

Children
Our properties are ideally suited to families and those travelling with children and infants. If you have need of a crib, highchair or other amenity, please reserve at the time of booking. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee these items will be available, if not pre-arranged.

Cottages: Our 4.5 acres of grounds are located on a quiet country road and cottages are well spaced for privacy. Numerous types of play equipment is set up and other toysand sports equipment is available at the office. Children must be accompanied and supervised when using the pool which offers swim games and toys. Firepits at each cottage ensure your family time is a special treat!

Motel: An ideal location to base your Cavendish experience. Walk to attractions such as Sandspit Amusement Park, Mini-Golf, Shining Waters Family Fun Park and to the Cavendish Boardwalk's dining and shopping area. Many guests feel Abby Lane Motel is the best location for families who want to be close to the action or have older children who want to explore on their own!

Pets
We are animal lovers and have 2 dogs, a chocolate lab (Norman) and a little white thing (Rosie) as well as a rabbit (Cocoa) - at the moment!

Cottages: We do allow some pets but reserve the right to limit pets, based on the number of pets we know will be on the property, at any given time. Confirmation of acceptance must be made for your pet, at the time of booking. Many pets, who are familiar with travelling and are well trained, are wonderful additions to a vacation. Sometimes though, a pet is not comfortable with strange people/places and this can jeopardize the enjoyment of the guest. - and of other guests.

A few points - pets must be leashed at all times, they cannot be left in a unit, unless kennelled and quiet, and cannot be inside the pool enclosure. Also for your information, pets are not allowed on any National Park Beach between May 15 and October 15th and only in other areas of the park on a leash. A surcharge per night / per week will be charged for each pet accommodated, as there is extra cleaning and sanitizing required, upon a pet's departure.

Motel: Due to the nature of the property (adjoining units) and its proximity to Cavendish Road, pets are not permitted at the motel.

Trips & Attractions
Although Abby Lane Summer Homes is located in a quiet rural setting, we are only a short distance from all the conveniences and attractions of Cavendish and its surrounding communities. Abby Lane Motel is in the center of Cavendish and offers a location from which to have an action packed vacation. The entrance to PEI's National Park is 3 minutes by car.

Cavendish's white sand beaches, located in the Park, are world renowned for their beauty and aboundance. The National Park also offers extensive walking and biking trails and excellent interpretive programs on the natural and historical aspects of Prince Edward Island.

Only minutes away is the homestead of Anne of "Green Gables", which Parks Canada has completely restored to the way it was in the 1890's. Several other "Anne" museums and historical sites such as L.M. Mongomery's Cavendish Home, Green Gables Post Office, The Birthplace of L.M. Montgomery and the Anne of Green Gables Museum at Park Corner are within a short drive.

In addition to the many atttractions such as Shining Waters Family Fun Park and the Sandspit Amusement Park, Cavendish offers 18 hole championship golf at Green Gables, Eagles Glenn, Anderson Creek, and Glasgow Hills and 9 holes of golf at Forest Hills or Red Sands. Several other championship Island courses are within 30-45 minute drive.

Shopping, crafts, dining and entertainment are all within minutes of Abby Lane. Enjoy a traditional lobster supper or pick up some fresh fish/seafood at the wharf in Rustico. Rustico, a nearby fishing village, has many conveniences and services, including; deep sea fishing, grocery store, beer, wine and liquor store. Bank machines are available in both Cavendish and Rustico.
