Main Inn
All of these rooms are located in our Main Inn where history abounds and you can take a step back in time. All rooms on the main floor have semi-private decks.

Cozy Queen
Enjoy your stay with us in one of our cozy queen rooms that still retain antique furniture with modern touches. 2nd floor views of the water or property will compliment your stay in our historic Main Inn. Come down to our lobby to sit in front of our natural fireplace and enjoy a good book or a nice drink.

Master King
All of our historic Master King rooms located in the Main Inn feature Victorian era furnishings with a touch of modern updates. Have a seat in a classic chair or have an amazing sleep in our new mattresses. Take in a view of the water or our lovely property from your 2nd floor window.

Master Queen with Deck
Take a step out of your main floor room to enjoy the fresh ocean air or the amazing view of Covehead Bay. These 4 rooms are located on the main floor of our Historic Inn. Enjoy the Victorian era furnishings that you expect from our property wtih a touch of updates to make your visit the most enjoyable time of your vacation. Most of our Master Queen's have a waterview and all have a semi-private deck.

Master King with Deck
Our Master King rooms feature Victorian era furnishings while being located on the first floor of our historic Main Inn. Take a step outside to your semi-private deck and enjoy a relaxing bay view or a garden view to enjoy the peaceful setting of our lovely property. Take a walk down the hallway to have a seat in one of our lovely sitting areas.

Master King with Larger Space
Our one of a kind "Master King" offers a comfortable king bed, period furniture and a nice loveseat to relax in. Take in a water view from your 2nd floor room while absorbing all the charm that our historic resort has to offer.

Suite with King Bed
When you want to stay in our Heritage Main Inn while enjoying modern updates this is the perfect room for you. Our suites feature a sitting area with unique period furniture and a seperate King bed. The glass shower and large soaking tub is perfect for any occasion and as an added bonus take a look out of your 2nd floor window to take in a fabulous view of Covehead Bay.

Suite with King Bed and Fireplace
Comfort and luxury all in one spot. Have a seat in front of the fire while watching the large screen plasma tv. For a breath of fresh air take a step outside onto your semi-private deck. Both of our suites still include period furnishings to ensure your step back in time is complete. Take a stroll down the hallway to relax in our comfortable lobby or next door for lunch or dinner.

Cliffside Hideaway Building

This building is located on the back of our property beside Covehead Bay. These units feature hardwood floors, semi-private and private decks.

Master King with Deck
Both of our Master King rooms feature a semi-private deck where you can have a seat to enjoy our lovely property. Located in the Cliffside Hideaway both of these rooms have newly renovated 3/4 washrooms while still retaining unique period furnishings to make you feel that you could take a step back in time.

Suite with King Bed and Jacuzzi
For the nicest view on the property have a seat on your own private deck to see the natural beauty of Covehead Bay. Both of our Jacuzzi suites feature a mini-fridge, seperate seating areas and a King bed. As well they have a stand-up shower and (of course) a Jacuzzi tub. This is the perfect room for the beginning of a memorable and romantic memory.

2 Bedroom Cottage
This 2 bedroom unit is the perfect cottage for a family or a small group. A full kitchen plus two bedrooms and a living room area will give you the space and essentials needed while still offering all the historic furnishings and comfort that our resort has to offer. The one bedroom includes 2 double beds while the other room includes a king bed with a private washroom. A private deck with your own BBQ is the perfect setting to enjoy the views of Covehead Bay and make your vacation complete.

Higgens, Davis & MacMillan Houses

Whether a king, queen or double is required we have something to offer. All 3 of these houses are within one minute of the Main Inn, all feature semi-private decks and mini-fridges in the rooms. The MacMillan House also has our newly renovated "Angus Room" for small group settings.

Master King & Deck
Directly across from the Main Inn your King bed room has a 1st or 2nd floor deck that gives you a wonderful view of Covehead Bay. Take a step back inside and relax in your spacious room that still retains some of the history of our property. The additional benefit of these rooms are the adjoining door to our Master rooms with two double or queen beds. The perfect solution for the travelling families.

Master with 2 Double Beds and Deck
2 Double beds and room to spare with a semi-private deck on your 1st or 2nd floor room gives you the perfect setup for the beginning of your vacation. Connect to our Master King Higgens House rooms for a family getaway.

Master with 2 Queens and Deck
When you need a little more space than our double beds can offer we have the solution for you. Take a room with 2 queen beds and a semi-private deck so you can see what this area of PEI has to offer. Fresh air, beautiful scenery and a relaxing environment await you at Stanhope Beach Resort. Connect to our Master King Higgens House Rooms for a family or group getaway.

Harbour House Executive Cottages

These units are located in our Executive Harbour House. They are perfect for large groups, families, etc. Please enquire at the resort for more details.

Harbour House - 3 Bedroom
Perfect for families, we have two Harbour Houses located at the edge of our property. Both of these executive houses are weekly rentals.

The 3 Bedroom Harbour House unit has two King beds, 2 super single beds in the other room (can be put together to make a King bed if needed). With an open concept full kitchen, dining area and living space it has everything you need for an extended getaway. It also has a full washroom, washer, dryer, private deck and BBQ. Come over to the Main Inn and join us for breakfast (included with your stay). Daily housekeeping not included with this unit.

Harbour House - 5 Bedroom
The Harbour House is named for Covehead Harbour located nearby this lovely property.
HH5 - Take in an amazing ocean view of the National Park or enjoy the view of Covehead Harbour. Sit on the large main floor deck or take in a higher view from the private 2nd floor deck off the master bedroom.

This two floor, 5 bedroom unit has one king bed, two queen beds, two double beds and 5 bathrooms that makes it perfect for a large family (perhaps 2 families) or a group outing. It also has a large living room with cathedral ceilings, full kitchen, spiral staircase, washer and dryer, large private deck and BBQ. Make sure to come visit us for breakfast (included with your stay).

Private Cottages

For the extended stay or larger groups we offer 3 great choices. Our Oceanview unit is perfect for the family travelling together while our 2 Bedroom Private Cottage is great for both families and small groups. Both of these are on-site while our 3 bedroom Summer House gives you all the amenities of staying with us but the privacy of being off site. No matter what your needs we think one of these will be perfect for you.

"Oceanview" Room
This 3 bedroom unit is perfect for a family or small group. The first bedroom contains a king bed and adjoining master bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom consists of a queen bed connecting to a third room with a double bed. These bedrooms share a washroom. Plenty of living area with a table and mini-fridge.

The name of this room becomes easy to understand once you step onto the private deck with your own BBQ and a spectacular ocean view. Plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy your vacation with us.

"Summer Home"
This fabulous addition to our cottages is the most private and unique of our cottage selections. This off-site unit has a private yard, beach access to the National Park and nearby walking trails. Located next to Atlantic Canada's premier Equestrian Facilities this cottage also gives you a screened in porch and all the essential amenities you will need for your week long vacation. This unit is pet friendly so don't leave your pets behind! Daily housekeeping not included.

2 Bedroom Private Cottage
This recently renovated 2 bedroom cottage features a kitchen, living room and 2 seperate washrooms. Your cottage has a private deck with a BBQ and a fully screened in porch to relax in. Your first bedroom features a King bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds. This cottage is also pet-friendly for all of our pet lovers travelling to our property.

Dog Friendly Accomodations
We have been happy to announce that we have been accepting dogs since the 2010 season in some of our different rooms. Our VIP (Very Important Pets) Rooms are as follows:

We now have 8 of our Master Rooms with 2 Double Beds in the Davis House available for our pet lovers. We also have our 2 Bedroom Private Cottage and 3 Bedroom Summer House that are pet friendly for extended stays with us. All of these rooms have direct access to the grass areas to make your dog's visit as easy as possible.

We do have a one-time pet fee that includes the following:

· Dog Bowl
· Chef Shaun's Specially Prepared Dog Treat

We do not have a size limit to our dogs visiting but please make sure all pets are leashed and any messes are cleaned up immediately. Please make sure to let us know ahead of time so we can make sure everything you need for your pets vacation (and yours) is ready for you upon arrival. Red Dory - The Fish House
With the Covehead Harbour right in our backyard, seafood just doesn't come any fresher than this!
Sit on our deck and watch the sunset into the ocean while you enjoy PEI's legendary Malpeque oysters or a steaming bowl of savoury mussels. Working with local producers to bring you the freshest flavours, our culinary team showcases the best of what the Island has to offer.

Little Boat Bar
Join us for a cold drink or ask our bartender to make up your own favourite mixed drink. Don't forget to try something off our Little Boat Bar Menu where you can sit back and relax with some comfort food or try something with a East Coast twist.

Location & Directions
The Resort is just 2 km past the Stanhope Golf and Country Club on Bayshore Road. We are also located just 1 km outside the National Park gates in Stanhope and perched in plain sight high up on the cliff directly behind Covehead Harbour.

Confederation Bridge:
· Travel on Route 1 into Charlottetown's city limits.
· Turn left onto Malpeque Road.
· Take your next right onto the Perimeter Areterial Road.
· At the third set of lights, turn left onto St. Peters Road (Route 2).
· Travel approximately 4 minutes on Route 2.
· Turn left onto Route 25 (Jewel's Country Market will be on your left).
· Travel on Route 25 approximately 15 minutes then turn left onto Bayshore Road.
· Stanhope Beach Resort will be high on the bluff 2 km after the Stanhope Golf and Country Club.

Northumberland Ferries:
· As you come off the ferry, stay on Route 1 travelling over the Hillsborough Bridge.
· At the first set of lights off the Hillsborough bridge, turn right onto Riverside Drive.
· At the 5th set of lights, turn right onto St. Peters Road (Route 2 - Kentucky Fried Chicken will be on your left).
· Travel approximately 4 minutes on Route 2.
· Turn left onto Route 25 (Jewel's Country Market will be on your left).
· Travel on Route 25 approximately 15 minutes then turn left onto Bayshore Road.
· Stanhope Beach Resort will be high on the bluff 2 km after the Stanhope Golf and Country Club.
