Centennial Cottages Accommodation

My parents, in addition to running a farm, started in the cottage business on PEI in the 1970's and we have been welcoming visitors to the Island ever since. Along with my wife and daughter we have been running the cottages since 1997. We have nine cottages that are nestled in a secluded spacious spot surrounded on three sides by an acre of woodlands.

The cottages were renovated in 1999 when the Prince Edward Island Tourist Agency honoured us with the "most improved" site award for the whole of the Province. All cottages have two bedrooms with combinations of queen, double or twin beds.

The kitchens include fridge, range, microwave and coffee maker along with all dishes and pots and pans for your cooking convenience. All have four piece bathrooms as well as sofa beds in the main living area and for a nominal charge we can provide cots if required.

Our cottages have pine floors in the living area, carpeting in the bedrooms and ceiling fans in the main living area along with cable TV and VCR with free videos available for your viewing pleasure. All cottages have large decks on one and a half sides of each cottage. Patio furniture and a gas barbecue make the deck an ideal spot to spend the evening.

There is also a wood burning fire pit in front of each cottage. A pass is available to allow entry into the National Park beaches (Brackley and Cavendish) close by. If you don't have time to go to the beach we added for your enjoyment a heated swimming pool and hot tub.

Things to do in PEI:
Besides windsurfing and deep-sea fishing, the Brackley Beach area offers many outdoor activities including golfing at some of the most beautiful courses on the Island as well as tennis and cycling... and no visit to this area of the Island would be complete without a visit to Anne of Green Gables' house, just a short drive from your door.

We are just 10 miles north of the Home of Confederation, and Charlottetown is any easy drive to visit historical sites, shop, enjoy the theatre or just spend a summer's evening along the beautiful waterfront. If your into horse racing make sure you check out the schedule at the Charlottetown Driving Park and Casino.

For those who cannot resist, many Lobster Suppers are offered in the area, or you can buy your own fresh from the local wharf and cook them on your patio barbecue... and when the children are tired of the beach, they can make new friends in our large play area or visit our family farming operation adjacent to the cottages... or see a movie at the Drive-in theatre just down the road from our cottages.

Just minutes from the cottages, you'll find fine dining and crafts at The Dunes Studio Gallery. Fun for families and children alike are the two amusement parks located just 20 minutes from our site. You will enjoy a number of activities at these two sites: Shining Waters Water Park and Sand Spit.
