How far is the beach and is it safe for swimming?
A: We are approx 50 yards from the beach, which is very safe for swimming and at low tide you can walk around the entire cove ( approx 2 Miles).

About the Area
Birthplace of Canada, Prince Edward Island - also known as PEI, or simply "The Island" - is world famous for many things. The cottage is situated directly on Carleton Cove Beach, which is excellent for swimming, clam digging, walking the beach, kayaking, bird watching or just plain relaxing.

Driving Directions
From New Brunswick:
After exiting Confederation Bridge proceed 2.4 km to Highway 10. Take Highway 10 N for 2.1 km, turn left onto Stewart Road. Proceed .5 km on Stewart Road, veer to the left and proceed another .7 km to ocean. Cottage is on the left.

From Charlottetown & Points East:
After entering town of Borden Carleton proceed 1.3 km to Highway 10. Turn right and proceed 2.1 km on Highway 10 N. Turn left on Stewart Road and proceed .5 km before veering to the left and proceed another .7 km to ocean. Cottage is on the left.

From Summerside:
Follow Route 10A to Central Bedeque. Exit to Route 10S. Proceed 8 km to Stewart Road. Turn right and proceed .5 km before veering to the left and proceed another .7 km to ocean. Cottage is on the left.
