Baines Camp is set on the edge of the permanent waters of the Boro River, in a private concession, which borders the beautiful Moremi Game Reserve.

Accommodation
This is a small property, and accommodates only 10 guests, in luxurious suites, all of which are set on elevated platforms in the tree line. Each suite has a private deck which offers excellent views over the River and a neighbouring lagoon.

Your accommodation features a luxurious bedroom, complete with four-poster bed, which is fully mobile, giving you the unique choice of sleeping under the stars on the deck, or in your suite. Accommodation is en suite, and equipped with ceiling fan, safe, and min-bar.

The central camp area is home to an extensive deck for outdoor dining, and a lounge area, which allows for excellent views of the lagoon. The swimming pool is set off to the side, and is bracketed by 2 thatched Sala’s.

Things to do
Game viewing is generally excellent in this area, and you can explore on morning and afternoon/ evening game drives. You might also like to experience a mokoro (traditional dug-out) excursion in the channels of the Delta – not only tranquil, but an excellent way to see some of the birdlife. The camp also has small motorboats for more extensive water-borne excursions.

The water-based activities are dependant on the water levels of the Delta. For the more adventurous, there are also guided bush walks, which are always interesting, not to mention exciting. At Baines Camp, there are numerous waterways, beds of papyrus, and animal species, large and small, waiting to be discovered.

Baines Camp also offers (at additional cost) a fascinating Elephant interaction activity, which includes a leisurely paced walk with a trio of semi-habituated elephants, where you get the chance to become personally acquainted with them. The activity last some 4 hours and is completed with a picnic lunch.

Where is the Baines Camp?
The camp has its own registered private airstrip (S19.37.23 E023.16.42), which is located approximately 45 - 60 minutes from the camp depending on the water level in the delta.
