Features of Kwa Nokeng Lodge
Welcome to Kwa Nokeng, your gateway to Botswana! Translated from the local language Setswana, Kwa Nokeng means, 'at the river'.

Kwa Nokeng Lodge, is a family-owned business in the Tuli Block in Botswana. We are situated along the Limpopo River at the Martin's Drift border post, just four hours from Gauteng.

Accommodation at Kwa Nokeng Lodge consists of:
River Cottages
These three self-catering units are on the banks of the Limpopo River, two of which are river-facing with their own decks - perfect for sundowners! The unit has one bathroom and two bedrooms with one queen size bed and two single beds, sleeping four people. The open plan living area has a small lounge and kitchenette. The cottages are equipped with air-conditioning.

Safari Tents
Four river-facing, electrified and furnished tents. Campsite ablutions nearby. Sleeps two people on two single beds.

Luxury Tents
Built on stilts overlooking the Limpopo River, these unique Luxury Tents offer you something different in the way of accommodation. 'Rough' it in style... There are four units, each with two single beds and two bunk beds, sleeping two adults and two children. En suite shower facilities.

Camping
Our lodge campsite has a lawn and power points with nearby ablution facilities. Firewood is provided.

Chalets
Five thatched bungalows set in the lush gardens of the lodge on the banks of the Limpopo, four of which are river-facing. En suite shower facilities and air-conditioned. They sleep two adults and two children on two single beds and a bunk bed.

Some ideas of what to do at Kwa Nokeng Lodge
You are welcome to enjoy a buffet meal
that is served around a crackling fire or on our deck under the nurturing branches of an age-old Nyala Berry tree, with a spectacular view of the Limpopo. There are also self-catering units for families that prefer to do their own thing as they unwind and relax.

Kwa Nokeng Lodge has a relaxed, family atmosphere and you are sure to share stories with other travelers around our 'mokoro' bar, and even make new friends.

Where is Kwa Nokeng Lodge?
How to get to Kwa Nokeng Lodge:
GPS Co-ordinates: S22 59.998 E27 56.415

Directions from Pretoria:
Take the N1 North towards Pietersburg / Polokwane. At the 4th tollgate approx 180km’s from Pretoria, take the booth on the far left towards Potgietersrus / Mokopane. You will see the Potgietersrus / Mokopane sign at the tollgate.

Tip: Do not proceed to Pietersburg/ Polokwane as this will lead to a 100km loop, count the toll gates from Pta, turn left at the 4th one.

From the 4th tollgate turn left off the offramp and follow the signs towards Potgietersrus / Mokopane approx 14km’s.
You will enter Potgietersrus with Thabo Mbeki street (main str). The main street is a very busy street and I have personally suffered at the hands off smash & grab thieves while waiting at the robots.

To avoid the main street and traffic, follow these directions:
- Enter Potgietersrus as per the directions above ie Thabo Mabeki str.
- Turn left at the first set of Robots into Geyser str, you will see a high school on your left.
- Go over the 1st set of Robots passing the Sasol garage on your right.
- Turn right at the next 4-way stop into Dudu Madisha str.
- Proceed over a few 4-way stops until you get to the next set of Robots, turn left into Nelson Mandela str. You will see a café on your right, and a Land Rover agency across the street.
- Proceed for approx 187km’s to the Groblersbridge / Martin’s Drift Border posts.
- Once through the Martin’s Drift Border proceed to the Caltex filling station next to the Border, you will see the Kwa - Nokeng Lodge entrance at the filling station.

Ensure you have enough fuel to travel to the Kwa Nokeng Complex at Martins Drift in Botswana as fuel is cheaper in Botswana than in SA.
