The name Machaba is the local Setswana name for the Sycamore Fig Tree, the tree of life. Little Machaba is independently owned and run, and is aimed at the affordable luxury travel markets across the world, offering great value for money and a unique classical safari experience. Little Machaba will appeal to the novice safari guest as well as to the seasoned safari traveller.
Little Machaba Camp is an exclusive 8 bed

The spacious tents, similar in size to Machaba main Camp, are on raised decks, as is the main area and bar. The style of the camp is classical tented reminiscent of the explorers of yesteryear.
The camp is built in the classic 1950’s style, with luxury safari tents, en-suite bathrooms and living areas, not forgetting the romantic outdoor showers. All the tents are situated on decks and the pathways to the tents meander between the large riverine trees. The Main dining and bar area are also on wooden decks overlooking a large flood plain.
The camp is located on the same island as Machaba Camp, overlooking a large flood plain. Situated next to Machaba main Camp, it offers a similar experience however being a lot smaller and more exclusive.

Little Machaba is situated in the game rich Khwai area. The Khwai Concession is a 180 000 hectare reserve situated in the north eastern Okavango adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. Little Machaba is situated on the same island as Machaba Main Camp, but is run separately from Machaba Main Camp.

Access to Little Machaba and Machaba Camp is by land and Air. One can self-drive
alternatively;
you will need to fly to either Maun or Kasane.
