Activities at Kwalape Safari Lodge

Kwalape Safari Lodge offer spectacular opportunities to get up close to the diverse wildlife populations both on and off the river, with boat cruises and game drives through the park and plenty of opportunities to view one of our spectacular sunsets. Photographic opportunities are plentiful and you will just be left not knowing which way to point your camera.

Chobe River boat Cruises

The Chobe River runs along the northern border of Chobe National Park, and provides unrivalled opportunities to see wildlife at close quarters. It rises in the northern Angolan highlands and travels enormous distances through the Kalahari sands before reaching Botswana. The banks of the Chobe throng with hippos and crocodiles and predators stalk the herds of antelope and gazelle. Elephants regularly swim across to the island to graze. Daily sunrise and sunset cruises are on offer and are a must do activity whilst you are in Chobe.

Chobe National Park Game Drives:

Chobe National Park is the second largest national park in Botswana, covers 10,566 square kilometers and has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Its uniqueness in the abundance of wildlife offers a safari experience of a lifetime. The park is best known for its concentrations of elephants – some 120,000 individuals (the highest concentration in Africa), along with a good number of buffalo, antelope and predators. Birding is also excellent, with many migrants visiting from November to March.

Day trips to Victoria Falls:

Named Mosi-oa-Tunya ‘smoke that thunders’ by locals, Victoria Falls are a spectacular site. The mighty Zambezi plunges into a narrow, mile long chasm, with excellent views to be had on both the Zambian and Zimbabwe sides. It’s easy to see why it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
