A historic building in the heart of Georgian Dublin, Albany House is perfect for exploring the Irish capital on foot. Located just off St Stephens Green it is a leisurely 5 minute walk to Grafton Street and onto the atmospheric Temple Bar. Our elegant Georgian guest house boasts many of the original period features from the late 18th century.

Guests looking for a city centre residence with character and charm will appreciate the understated elegance and individuality of the decor and furnishings. Although we do not have an elevator in the building, they offer all the amenities you would expect from a modern 3 star city centre guest house including free wifi throughout. An extensive continental breakfast is available every morning, and is included in all room rates.

Rooms

Double, Twin and Family Rooms- albany house has 43 en suite bedrooms and 7 Executive Rooms, each individual in style and character. All rooms are elegantly furnished and maintained to the highest standards. Our bathrooms all have power showers and some rooms also have a bath.

Executive Rooms- upgrade to more spacious Executive Room. Decorated with the Georgian theme, original character and calm tones, the Executive Rooms have wonderful beds with crisp linen in which you can drift off to a restful sleep. The extra space allows for comfortable seating area to give you the freedom to make yourself at home and there is a larger desk if you need to put the finishing touches to tomorrows presentation.

Brakfast

After a great nights sleep and invigorating power shower, nothing starts your day better than a tasty breakfast. Continental breakfast is included in all the room rates and the breakfast room is open from 7.30am until 9.30am daily. Guests enjoy freshly brewed tea or cafétiere coffee, a fantastic choice of home baked bread and rolls with preserves, croissants, toast, fresh fruit salad, natural yoghurt, cereals and muselis and cheeses.

Melbourne is served by the main airports Melbourne Airport also known as Tullamarine Airport, is situated to the northwest of the city and is the main international and domestic hub. Some domestic flights from low cost carrier are serve at Avalon Airport, located to the southwest of the city centre on the road to Geelong. Taxis and coaches are available at Melbourne Airport. The hotel is a 47 minutes ride from the hotel.

By train
All regional and interstate rail services depart from Southern Cross Station, located on Spencer Street at the western edge of the Melbourne CBD. The station is well connected to the rest of the citys transport network, including most suburban train lines, tram routes, and some bus services.

By car
From Sydney, quickest route to Melbourne is the Hume Highway, which takes 10 to 11 hours. The Princes Highway (National Route 1) goes along the coast and is less crowded. It takes longer and the speed limit is lower.
